PossiblyIs it?
Surprised his heart hasn't exploded, lugging all that timber about.Possibly![]()
There's a possibility they'll be relegated twice in 1 seasonPerhaps but you said they'd never be relegated ..... twice![]()
Literally in the news though mate, not exactly strange is it
The only person who's said anything particularly worthwhile "educationally", in the thread is Grumpy Old Man.But not to educate yourself, unfortunately.
Oh well, time for some Neil Innes (option c), I guess:

The F A later ordered West Ham to pay Sheff Utd 20m+ in compensation.
The F A won't be as lenient next time around according to Richard Scudamore
Also newcastle's case is tax fraud, so IF found guilty yous will be punished twice![]()
If we're found guilty we may well be punished by the FA and by HMRC. Nobody knows how harsh any punishments will be. But aye, lets keep using terms like wind up orders, heavy fines, transfer embargos, relegations
Conversely there could be a light or non-existent points deduction and relegation is up to the football league, not HMRC. transfer embargos are barely worth the paper they're written on as we've seen with PSG and Barcelona. And of course there may be no kind of transfer embargo at all.
I reckon if we're found guilty, we'll get a fine from HRMC, and possibly a fine from the Football authorities. I'd be shocked if we were given a points deduction, but even if we are it'll surely be less than for going into administration.
I dont think for one minute that you or anybody else will face a winding up order.
as for the reasons (if it was done), we will need to wait and see. No point in guessing. I am sure there will be a number of clubs involved and whether it is through one agent or several, again we will just have to wait and see.
I can honestly see at least one demotion for those involved and rightly so, irrespective of those involved, as the amounts involved will be millions. That is millions from the services of this country.
I would also like the agents and the players to face the music, if there is music to face
Did you understand my post?

I was simply calling for reason to have it's day. Rather than the wild flights of fancy that we've seen in this thread.
Were I to mirror the predictions I'd be predicting an innocent verdict, or no punishments at all.
Not once have I said newcastle will be wound up, but anything else is possible. The only person who's said anything particularly worthwhile "educationally", in the thread is Grumpy Old Man.

Have they been treble-relegated yet?
HMRC will screw the arse off them, tax evasion is a hot political potato, at the moment and any sign of leniency shown to a football team which has got its snout well into the tv bonanza trough would be seized upon by politicians of all colour. Fat Mikes previous financial short comings will also be held against them. This is an HMRC matter not FA rules
No but something even stranger has happened ..... a Mag is defending Mike Ashley's honour
They'll be out in the streets fixing up old phone boxes next![]()
Perfectly ..... you're saying people shouldn't use certain terms that you keep using yourself.
You've been telling people not to make predictions while posting your own predictions.
Like I said it's people's choice if they want to do either ...... you don't get to dictate the terms, of the thread, just because it relates to Newcastle.
You know no more than anyone else on here.
You may not, but others have. Not once have I said newcastle will be wound up, but anything else is possible.
IF and only IF Newcastle are guilty of financial irregularities then that'll be up to HMRC, the F A and the Premier League

I'd be surprised if the sums involved are large enough to bring demotions, West Ham didn't even get a points deduction.
I absolutely agree that agents and footballers are complicit in any tax avoidance schemes and while the players can plead ignorance, the agents were wilfully engaging in the alleged wrongdoing and should face sanctions.
To be honest, there needs to be a shakeup of that side of the sport. Better regulations, greater transparency, and so on. A young man's future could be in the hands of some right dodgy bellend. There was an "interview" with Shearer where he talked about a sizeable portion of young players wages going into a trust until they hit a certain age. I think that kind of system could better guide the player's choices and also the development of a young footballers character.
If found guilty there's every chance newcastle will be demoted with a transfer ban and massive fineWhere's the "Mag defending Mike Ashley's honour" like?
What's the context of my use of those terms?
I've been suggesting people not make wild predictions of an apocalyptic result for Newcastle United, because it will make them look silly.
I know the same as everyone else, because I too know very little. However, I'm not assuming the absolute nightmare scenario for Newcastle is really the likely scenario. Nor am I assuming the best case situation, for fear of looking foolish in the future.
You may not, but others have.
But honestly, what do you think is most likely?
Let me guess, The Whale is straight back on here at first light gnashing away?
It's a message board for Sunderland fans though. Yes, the apocalyptic outcomes are unlikely, but why shouldn't we have a bit of fun speculating? How does that make us look silly?Where's the "Mag defending Mike Ashley's honour" like?
