Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

@Serbianlad Is Milan expected to feature against Spain?
Someone asked me a similar question earlier, and I have to say even after today's press conference I am unfortunately no wiser, so I'll give the same answer, it's difficult to say. Our coach made a lot of personel change due to various reasons and there are lots of very young players who are either making their debuts or have played less than 5 games. I'd be surprised if he started either one of the two games, especialy the Spain game. He might get some minutes off the bench as our coach said there will be some debutants.

What I liked mostly from the footage shown is that he plays with his head up, and even plays the passes with his head up like he's knows where the ball is at his feet, he's doesn't need to look down.

Foden does this well, and Rigg to some extent - always looking around and they’re one step ahead of the defenders when they receive the ball, first touch just glides past their man

If he’s half as good as Rigg he’ll be some player

Rigg’s been doing this since he got a game.

Like you say if he’s half as good he’ll have a career.

The signs are promising for the lad, hope he can live up to it.

If he doesn’t hit the ground running he’ll get some stick on here, as will the recruitment team, but that won’t be indicative of the majority of fans and he’ll be well supported whenever he plays. We need to accept that some of the signings we make will need time to adjust and others just won’t work at all but we need to have patience.
I'm not sure if that is as big an issue anymore. If he doesn't play then he'll just be used sparingly, we have enough depth now to give him time. It's no longer the the case where he'll have to play because there's nobody else.

Getting a few minutes here and there when we're winning is going to be much easier for him than hoying him in the deep end ill-equipped.

We hoyed Michut, Ekwah, Ba, Bennette and probably others in the deep end. Get that none of the ones I mentioned have become regulars but they all contributed.

Hume and Patto are the two who had baptism of fire and came through it really.

Can’t see it happening with this lad, he’ll get games, we always give games to young players. However now we’re at a point where we can bed him in, in his position. Winning games goes very far for this.

If Aleksic has been playing men's football and is in the Serbian National squad he is not coming here to piss about in U21 football. He will be on our bench and when his opportunity comes along it is up to him to take it.

I'd say it's the opposite with Hume, he was here for a while before he started playing regularly

Hume didn't.
