Great comeback. 10 years in the top flight for Sunderland is a success like. Not sure how any rational person can agree with that.

Bought for 55, sold for 300. Made shitloads every year from Sky, free advertising for his businesses, very little other sponsorship, spent fuck all on the ground and other infrastructure. Absolute c*nt of a bloke. 2 relegations and content to aim for 17th every year with zero interest in the cups. Derby will seriously regret getting him involved.Ran into the ground????? f***ing hell man give your head a wobble

Fair points on the last paragraph but good management saw us come back up. He kept the core of our squads but that was cos he’d signed players on long contracts and no-one else wanted them. His managerial appointments were fine, until we went down and he washed his hands & brought in Relegrayson (for all Ashley's faults, he always made sure you came straight back up each time).
It was the BTS appointments that were lifting and exposed the complete lack of strategy. I'll see your Kinnear, Charnley and Lambeezy and raise you Di Fanti, Byrne and Bain.
Sir Bobby was hounded out for finishing 5th. Whereas any manager that was “hounded out” can only think of Moyes who got any stick in recent times, were massively under performing at the bottom of the league. That’s your opinion, you’d be wrong though. Purely on investment, Short put in way more. His managerial appointments were most lauded on here although he did tend to get rid of them too quickly. Or were they hounded out like Sir Bobby was?
He did. And neither Benitez or Bruce wanted him. Great f***ing ownership.I agree with it. I'm rational

That’s the difference, your lot think it’s your divine right to finish 4th or higher even though in your history you’ve won Jack shit. Now f off.
10 years in the top flight? But at what cost? The club nearly went under because of ES's mismanagement. The fact that we're still not back to normal now says it all.Great comeback. 10 years in the top flight for Sunderland is a success like. Not sure how any rational person can agree with that.

Agreed. He's now your best player and one of the greatest central midfielders in world football. Actually in the history of footballHe did. And neither Benitez or Bruce wanted him. Great f***ing ownership.
Hounded out. Love it.
Wasting your time mate. Seriously10 years in the top flight? But at what cost? The club nearly went under because of ES's mismanagement. The fact that we're still not back to normal now says it all.
The skunks were screwed before he took over, revisionist nonsense.Having just made a 70 million profit on a club he ran into the ground he probably thinks it’s easy to make money in football , buy Derby cheap now when they are on the brink of going bust , minimal spending on players etc but keep them ticking along and sell them for a profit in a few years will be his idea.
He’s still f***ing shite.Agreed. He's now your best player and one of the greatest central midfielders in world football. Actually in the history of football
Wasting your time mate. Seriously

You’re right, my mistake, was more like £130m. £55m was his original stake. He paid a lot more than £55 million

Hounded out. Love it.
He was hockled on by 1 dickhead, about 17 years before he was sackedHounded out is a tad harsh, presumably being covered in hockle is a cultural sign of approval on Tyneside.

Load of debt there as well that he didn't know about wasn't there? Freddie did him good and properYou’re right, my mistake, was more like £130m. £55m was his original stake.
