Mika Godts - bring him home?

Because its clear as day how far he is from this level right now. Come from a league which is close to amateur to the most competitive in the world and it shows. I'd argue Angulo is struggling in the same way right now too, albeit to a lesser extent. Would be looking to loan both out to gain some experience at a decent level, because neither are up to speed at the moment and we need one solid choice we can rely on, on either side.
Well Reggie rated him enough to start him straight away so must have thought he could make impact

Is he? I've not seen much from the lad in either direction yet, which is not to say it won't happen, but he's got some work to do imo.
Angulo ranks fairly highly among PL wingers for tackles/90 (top 20%), fouls committed/90 (top 9%), clearances/90 (top 3%) and decently for interceptions/90 (top 50%).

I honestly think that's why he got straight back in on Sunday.

Ta Bi has played 48 minutes for us total. I'm convinced the club rate him highly, they don't care where he's from. I think pre season will be big for him but expect him to be in the first team squad all next season.

He did, but he can't have been impressed by what he saw. Kid has talent, no doubt, but was like watching a competition winner in how he played. Positionally all over the shop, some terrible set pieces and questionable decision making. Time on his side of course, but I'd rather he was doing his learning elsewhere.

If you compare to Talbi... He started slow, and for a while, kept it pretty simple. He rarely ran at players or gave the ball away, but he didnt take risks either. He sort of slowed himself down til he found his feet and gained osme confidence. Angulo and Ta Bi still seem to expect to just knock the ball 10 yards and run round the full back. Their bag of tricks isn't cutting it. They're both capable, but they're miles off the required level right now.

I agree with you on the clubs stance, at least their initial stance. Would be a hell of a sharp improvement curve if he got there soon.

Well, what do I know! how does he fair for progressive carries, successful takeons, dribbling, chance creation and shots on target?

I can't be all wrong :p

He's been injured until a few weeks ago

Per 90. Successful dribbles top 27%, chances created bottom 15%, shots on target bottom 39%, so aye not great. Aerial duels won (top 23%) and headed shots (top 26%) he ranks pretty highly in.

He does look raw tbf, but I do think it's obvious he grafts his arse off, Leeds away he seemed to be everywhere.

Angulo did look like he got caught napping defensively as the game wore on. Perhaps tiredness or mental fatigue but it could've let Everton in similar to how ELF and Rigg were a bit slow to realise the danger on their flanks for the Villa goals recently. He seems a good worker though so can hopefully sort that out. Physically he should have the tools to do the defensive job.

My concern for us in general is cutting edge on the flanks. Two of the only crosses that led to anything on Sunday actually came from Diarra playing at no.10. We need to gamble more with wingers taking on their men and looking to run behind onto balls in behind. Some of that might be managerial stuff but I still stand by the fact we could use the type of wingers Brentford have to let us play more direct at times.

It does frustrate me that we have wingers with rapid pace, yet they seem to be coached not to take on their man. i hope we see more out of them next season
