It's a program run by Microsoft that certain companies are signed up for and you get Office 2016 for £9.95

I didn't mean like that, sorry I meant once downloaded its on my computer without needing to be on the internet to do word, save to memory sticks etc? that make better sense haha long day!

365 via your school etc should let you download a copy of office as well if they have 365 and you can install it on upto 5 devices as long as your 365 account remains live

so if downloaded means can basically open files etc on my laptop? Just got a external hard drive with various (100's!) of files needing to be looked at, saved etc

Yea. You download and install a local copy of office. Which links direct to 365
