Lads setting up the Newcastle branch should be all over this- don't kn ow if there are contact details on here

Someone has set up a Sunderland supporters branch in Newcastle

We did talk about it, and the lad that set the group up/organised the travel believes it’s not feasible currently given membership.

We are doing one for the Pompey game which is fully booked, but one step at a time. Hopefully we’ll be able to do it more regularly as membership grows.

Worth setting out a bit earlier than usual tomorrow....

I’m going to go very early doors tbh.

Get the lay of the land for pezzling those Cov wankers later on, or something like that.

.

I know what you mean but think he may have missed a trick with this one

Bump to remind anyone about this for today.

Northern rail service doesn’t say anything about disruptions so should be fine, but metro running an amended Sunday service and there are no trains running between Gateshead Stadium, and Hebburn/Brockley Whins. Bus replacement services between those.

Double bump

Total disgrace that the hourly Northern service has been 2 carriages last weekend and this, both times when we have been at home and a sizable away following has been expected. Both weekends have seen incidents and disorder on the platforms and trains with quite a lot of people left behind. The 1541 from Newcastle this afternoon must have been pretty scary for the non match going passengers, especially when the train is crush loaded, windows are being banged, distressed dogs barking, lads shouting threats at each other, lads fighting. At least one passenger was really distressed and crying when it kicked off just before departure.

Can they not do these things overnight like they do in London?

To make matters worse when the “replacement” bus finally turned up at Brockley Whins, it was a black & white stripey bus with “magpie mover” written on it.

In fairness to Nexus, the works they are doing is a huge job and does need weekend closures (In fact they are closures in London over Easter, Euston to Harrow is closed for example). The work they are doing is heavy engineering, with loud machinery...as somebody who works shifts and lives near to the Metro line I am thankful that my sleep is not being disturbed. Its an inconvenience which has to happen from time to time. Its just a shame that Nexus could not have got their heads together with Northern to reduce the farcical scenes of hundreds of fans trying to get on hourly 2 car trains and the inevitable carnage that has been seen on the train v Coventry and v Donny.

As for the black and white bus, I bet somebody at the depot allocated it for a laugh, in fairness I wonder how many of us in that position would allocate a red and white bus with SAFC slogans on the side to a service that will be full of mags? I hope everyone who got off that bus disinfected their hands!

Of course I still used the bus as i’m Not that petty. Unlike the fans who “divent eat bacon cos it’s red”

Aye i was unable to get on at Heworth. To make things worse lobbed the replacement bus to Brocka which was fine, full but the driver was happy to get people on, jump off at the Metro and there's a train waiting...which then fucks off virtually empty as the entire bus is strolling down the ramp. Useless. There was loads waiting for the 19.30 Northern to Newcastle after the game, again just 2 carriages, does nobody at these companies have any common sense?

I was on that train. It was f***ing horrific.

The dog kicking off while some pissed up Yorkshire mongoloid yelled at it was a particular low point.

The Doncaster lads seemed to want to fight each other more than anything though.

We gave ourselves plenty of time to get back to Central last night..
Did ask one of Northern staff why it was only two carriage trains during the Metro disruption... The reply was "shortage of rolling stock"....not a very convincing reply...
