That’s been the case for years though innit? I used to use it for work because of my hatred for driving and I lost count of the amount of times the metro never turned up/was late or we were turned off at Pelaw or somewhere and shepherded onto a replacement bus.

It'll have snapped and while the driver applied the brakes the pantograph above the train will have taken x amount of metres with it until it came to a stand.

They’ll probably be on the horn wanting me to investigate it by next week then. I can tell you now what the problem will be though.

So how long did the journey home take then?

I left work at Freeman hospital to get to Roker at 4.00pm and got home at 7.45pm. A guy I was talking to on the train from Heworth to Seaburn left Benton at 4.00pm the same time that his wife left Harrogate and she got home first.

In future Mate worth noting there’s a canny bus X24 leaves from near monument and gets to Sland centre about 45 mins later
