Give us something worth watching and we sell out.
safc havent sold out for a decade..unless the man utds chelseas oir liverpools come..

so if we cant even sell out in the premier league..admittdedly mostky bad premeir league seasons..then there is no hope..

and you couldnt sell out wmbley..a cup finlal or play off final are always worth watching..

but aye massive club potential etc..

the problem is safc fans always go on about it being a massive club and talk up the gates and the potenntial..then do t sell out..it looks bad..charlie was wrong to say what he said..but safc fans are sometimes wrong to highlight potential when they dont sell out..

Aye you're talking crazy now. We are getting 33,000 in League 1 man. We are no different to other clubs in that our attendances rise and fall with performance, give us a season like 99/00 or 00/01 and we'll 100% sell out.

Can you name another club in europe who have been as consistently bad as us since the 1950s who can equal our crowds?

so to sell out we need to come 7th in the top flght/ and thats with ludicrously cheap tickets..

Exactly, only a few weeks back there was a whole thread saying he should stfu.....He has and now they're twisting about that too. If I didnt know better I might start to suspect some kind of irrational agenda going on.
Only a valid post if that’s the same posters. Differing opinions are allowed.

These owners need to shut up / These owners need to speak up

I love this place

The people saying they needed to shut up early on rightly pointed out that they'd be making a rod for their own back if things didn't go well and they suddenly went quiet. Turns out that's exactly what's happened too, what with "tactical twitter holidays" etc.

Amazing that this gets ignored.

He criticised our fans. Can't remember word for word, but we were poor. Or he barely heard then or something. In other words we let the team down.

We weren't the greatest in noise but we showed up in numbers, and again he'd of just been better saying nowt at all.

Salmon slacks had a point like, 80% glued to their seats.....went missing, like the team...

We need to look ambitious and like we know what we're doing. Or a boxing day game in League 1, 45,000, I'm sure that's fairly standard. Can you tell me what Man City's average crowd was in the 3rd tier? Or Leeds? Two clubs we'd all agree are potentially big clubs at the very least.

Answer the question about european teams matching our performance:attendance numbers too please. Let's call it one season competing in Europe since European competition existed and getting 40,000 average gates in at least 10, but probably 15 seasons since the '50s.

The vocal support in the Checkatrade was poor esp after Pompey equalised fhs. A valid criticism yet some are too precious to admit it.
The play off final was worse, I couldn't believe how poor the vocal support was after the start we had.
And, he, said the pubs showing the games illegally were leeches, not those who watched it. What is incorrect about that?
I agree, but Methven has been here two minutes, has fuck all history with us and hasn't exactly earned the right to question the fans based on what is being served up.

I think that's the difference.

He was asked a question and gave an honest answer whether you like it or not.

It depends how you define patience in our circumstance. Whilst I agree we've been patient in terms of sticking by the side and continuing to pull in big crowds, the fans are certainly not patient at times in the ground. It only takes a stray pass or a player to pass the ball back instead of forwards (when nothing is on I might add) for large pockets of our fans to respond with moans and groans. That's not normal imo and I don't know why it's seeped into our support and is now commonly accepted. Yes, we're frustrated, but this has been the same for years now. It doesn't help matters and I can't understand it.

There are times when the options are:

1. Pass the ball back and retain possession;
2. Attempt to play the ball forward when nothing's on and risk losing the ball.

If either of those options are selected and option 2 results in an incomplete pass, the fans groan. It's lose lose basically and very odd.
Large pockets?? Not really Gip, absolute myth about our fans.

It's not a myth at all. Are you honestly saying you do not hear loud moans and groans at misplaced passes in the ground? If not, either I have the hearing of a wolf or your lugs are blocked.

Does every club in the country stand up and applaud every misplaced pass?

The ground shouldn’t be 48 that was a mistake but Jesus how many clubs away from cosmopolitan cities with massive catchment areas could. Our support is remarkable - go buy Oxford
