Methven. Where is he ?

He can't go criticising fans for making a choice. Whether we disagree they go to pubs to watch it is all completely irrelevant. Where I pre drink before the match I see the same 4 blokes in the pub who I know will watch our matches in there. Its their choice.

The owners are damn lucky to be pulling in 33k attendances in a second season in league one. But they are punching above their weight.
you say its their choice? it is..but they arent contributing to the cub..in fact they are helping take money away drom the club..but those people..taking something while putting nowt in..the definition of a leach..will be the first fuckers to whine about how the club is run..

why are the owners pinching above their weight? this is a tiny business for SD and juan..nothing to what they ahve done ion the past..a tiddler..in terms of businesses..

What did he say about the play off?

I’ve genuinely missed this.

He criticised our fans. Can't remember word for word, but we were poor. Or he barely heard then or something. In other words we let the team down.

We weren't the greatest in noise but we showed up in numbers, and again he'd of just been better saying nowt at all.

It would only be considered criticism to the hyper sensitive mate. He commented on our failure to sell out our support and the lack of vocal support in the ground. He did however add that the ticket sales were obviously affected by the fact we'd been to Wembley only a few months before. I think his comments about the atmosphere were justified, many of the fans around me were like zombies.

If they are not totally bemused by the Sunderland fanbase I'll be shocked.

Charlie, Stewart, if you are reading this we never used to be as bad as this. Honestly. I blame the internet.

Our previous ownership were bemused by our support as well mate. It must be frustrating when you can see our potential

It didn't need saying at all. What did he achieve by saying it? Absolutely fuck all. Backlash.

Maybe he wants a Charlton style support where half the fuckers hadn't been to a game all season. Maybe he would rather be at a club pulling 15K at home then can find 45K for a one off game ?!?

He'd publicly rip our support to shreds then.. Justifiably in some people's eyes too.

Genuine question as I didn't pay much attention, did Quinny get the same level of 'abuse' for the same thing the Methven has done?

Perhaps it didn't, but he said it, did it really bother you? I mean...honestly?

It pissed me off a little if I'm honest, purely because he has this knack off criticising Sunderland fans one way or another.

He definitely doesn't get, or understand or support.

Ha'way mate, I think that's a little unfair. Whilst he has said a few things that have been negative, he also raves about our support and potential. You've got to look at the overall picture surely, it's not as though the bloke has only ever said bad things about our fans.

If truth be told, our vocal support could be better. Our fans could be more patient within the ground. Obviously there are excuses for both, but the criticism is also justified imo.
