The Breen Machine
Striker
Very sad. I met him at the POTY awards in 2009 I think, he was a giant of a man but very friendly and great with everyone. FWIW I thought he was a good keeper too.
RIP Marton

Shocked...was a canny keeper as well...thoughts to all concerned. Our former goalkeeper, has died age 32. So sad. Rest in peace.
Horrendous news it really is. Lost a close family member today to this horrible illness as well. Life is so fragile and precious .
RIP big man.
Mentioned that on the stickied thread. Very emotionalHe caused some of the biggest debates ever on this site.
Fulop or Gordon? Everyone had a view. There was a time when its all anyone seemed to talk about on here. He caused rows, breakdowns(I wonder how Hetzke's Ballet Teacher is these days?) and sulks.
He made a mark on this club and the fans, there is no doubt about that.
Personally, I thought Gordon was capable of greater things but maybe more prone to a mistake.
Marton was a brilliant shot-stopper though. There wasn't much between them in truth.
It surprises me how few games he actually played for us.'
The best tribute I've seen was from Ricky Sbragia. Not so much for what he said but for how upset he clearly was.
It tells you what a good bloke he must have been. And that's more important than anything else.
Born in 83.. God I'd been left school 3 years...way way to young.
some fantastic saves
Attention seeking tit.My biggest memory is being frustrated that he was playing and Gordon wasn't. I didn't paticularly rate Fulop.
