McGeady and the fans exchange at FT

Wouldn’t be surprised if he went to Hibs in January. Was told on Saturday from a decent source there’s a group of players who aren’t happy and McGeady and McGuire were two of them. Always sceptical about these things but starting to think this is true.
You mean the “M” clique? I heard there were 5

On train back now and there was nothing, nothing at all that would have got anybody’s hopes up about getting through this round.

History made tonight, first time we have been knocked out of the FA Cup in the first round properly, and idiots on here are getting precious about a wage thief having a go at our fans who have actually got their finger out and gone to the match.

Pathetic..........
Cheers for tonight mate
Tell Billy Whitehurst and Terry Curran that. Been players bladdered for it in the past, all depends on the appetite of the club/employer.

Reserve game aswell curran..reading his book atm

This. Fair play for him seeing the fan after the event and resolving it.
Aye. It could be a positive to be fair - shows he cares, unlike some players who walk off, head down at the end of every game. We need a bit more f***ing fight in this team

Aye, mind he needs to get whatever fight he does have onto the pitch.

No doubt if it did happen it will have been in response to something a ‘fan’ has said to him in the first place. He is human.

What worries me much more is his recent performances.
They are paid a lot of money to learn the skills not to react to what a fan says. Don’t see the point in making excuses for him.

Amazing how many people have such strong views but weren’t there! He hit a ball first time out of the air which didn’t find its target, frustrated fans reacted and shouted some abuse. McGeady reacted and gave some back. At the end he walked over and said “sorry I was wrong “. He shook hands with the fan and they had a chat for a minute or so....much bigger things to worry about. Plenty of players didn’t even acknowledge the fans.

He only came on a a sub

Don't care mate, my point still stands, he's been half the player we know he can be since the end of last season.
He's won domestic leagues and cups, he's played in the champions league and international football.

I expect him to show the kind of leadership we need on and off the pitch and earn his sky high wages on it.
I expect more than slowing the game down and a litany of misplaced passes week after week.

My original post was a demonstration of my unhappiness with him as a SAFC player, if your response is to show that you're happy with what we're getting from him then 'crack on' mate.

He went over and apologised and shook the lads hand. Nobody has mentioned that though.
Yes I did, as did several others in this thread, he only came over because the lad shouted over to him, he was walking off to the tunnel before the lad called to him

I take it some of you headline readers didn't bother to read the rest of the comments on the Twitter thread in the OP:

"He came over to the guy he aimed it to at the end and apologised and said it was his fault."

"He came over at the end of the game and shook hands with some fans despite people giving him grief, give over"

Fair play to him
