There's an awful lot of damning with faint praise on this. Mayenda has pace strength and is a good player. The run he made into their box late on and the pass, setting up one of our players was very good play. He's inexperienced, but, has huge potential. With him, Abdullahi, Ogunsuyi and Geragusian coming through, we've got a clutch of young'uns with lots of promise.
 
For a “data driven” club it makes no sense if he doesn’t play and is our best chance to get optimum points from the remaining 11 games. For me he should be behind Wilson (or upfront for the trickier games). When started upfront or CF position since coming back from injury he’s played 4 (Sheff Utd, Pompey, Derby (H) & Sheff Wed (A) and scored 4 and assisted 2. He’s wasted on the wing or as an impact sub and for me is far more effective than Rigg who has become a bit of a luxury and clearly needs a rest.
 
He reminds of that Swedish kid we had high hopes for five or six seasons back, can't remember his name. Both raw and a bit dog chasing a balloon but with a lot more talent.
 
I'm like a stuck record on here, every home game saying the same thing, but Reggie needs to play 442 this Saturday, Wilson and Mayenda up front, Roberts and mundle on the wings, and any two of his CMs and just take the bloody game to Cardiff from the first minute and smash the fuckers 7-0 .

No doubt he'll start with 5 across the middle, again. And we'll struggle again. Against a bottom 5 club, again
 
Rumour that Mayenda possible to get a call up for Spain u-21! Premier league clubs are circling him. As a club, it is very good news for us. I cant believe that we have a contract with him for 5 years (until 2028) Sunderland scouts must be very good

We can definitely afford to give it a go and see what happens like
 
I'd be pretty excited at those two upfront, if the club has the confidence to do that. Would be great to watch. 442 obviously. Dropping Izzy for Mayenda and him getting two goals was great haha It's been so long that we've had decent forwards, it's wonderful. Genuinelly excited atm and confident we will win the play-offs.

Can't see him playing 2 upfront in play offs
