Why? because it disagrees with you? Short is losing money hand over fist. He needs to reduce the wage bill and get in cheaper players.Maybe he is willing to wait a season or two before he sells. A streamlines Sunderland with lower wages will be a better proposition on the back of a promotion.
That's a flawed stratagem simply because nobody knows how relegation will impinge on all aspects of the club. We could just as easily drop further down the leagues, especially after getting rid of the majority of our better players. Short wants out but at a price. He won't get that price in the championship or lower. Short should have stipulated at the beginning of the season that relegation wasn't an option. Whoever advised him that going down is acceptable needs his bumps felt. The prices for good players in the championship are almost as prohibitive as the Premier League. We could be absent from the top league for a long long time.

Without wanting to state the obvious they're completely different scenarios...
Their owner wants to sell the club. He had no pre-season and was appointed mid-way through the winter window. He had a small squad of mainly Championship players. He had to sell his 2 best players to bring in new players. Lost Mason to a serious injury.

You're right. His scenario was worse than Moyes. It just shows you how a good manager can deal with a bad situation.

And before we sold PVA we signed Lescott on a free tells you all you need to know about Shorts backing to keep us up
Hull have no money and their owner wants to sell up too.

Fuck me you're thick if you can't see Villa MKII take up another sport

Hull are in a same situation as us. The difference is they have a manager who believes in his players and believes in himself.

Moyes has had 3 jobs in 4 years and has been a disaster at all 3. He's like the Frank Spencer of football.
Head in Sand

tbf they took a punt and it hs worked out so far. It could have gone pear shaped.

30 million thats what Mr Stability has spent on 13 players not a msssive amount but still more than Hull have spent.
Net spend of £15m after staying up yet again (by 2pts) Wow ....Villa MKII was never happening was it

As good as he has been so far, there's a lot getting carried away. Only been in the PL for a matter of months so far too early to judge his long-term credentials imo.....

We all thought Poyet was going to be the answer at the end of the 13/14 season. Also the likes of Laudrup, Flores, Bilic did well with unfancied clubs to begin with and were destined for bigger and better things - that didn't last....

How do you rate the 7 signings
Is it mainly passion or tactics have improved

Grosicki is quality plus Ranocchia and Niasse are decent but on their own they really aren't that special imo, Silva is just getting the maximum out of mediocre/inconsistent players.

The talk of Markovic being worth £16 M is ludicrous, but he has pace which Silva likes.

Our best players (Maguire, Robertson and Clucas) were already at the club.

I'd say our job has been miles tougher, sold, our two best players and didn't have any competent strikers let alone a Defoe up front.

Would agree, hull only had about 15 players at the start of the season ?

Frustrating to see passionate performances lacking from the likes of Kone compared to hull's British centre half

Hull have a manager who wants to make an impact, possibly develop into another job etc. Safc have a manager who thinks he should still be man united manager but cannot fathom a way for his team to score regularly, never mind win
