I did, yes as he was on another dreadful run and we were going backwards.
I'm defending him as your 'evidence' wasn't evidence at all, just load of variables to back up yours and your kith and kin's lovesick teen's obsession with "Rafa" because he made you feel all warm and fuzzy due to winning trophies elsewhere.
You can stick evidence in apostrophes if you like, but the stats are evidence that the football is shit and our form is unsustainable. The criticisms laid at Bruce's feet during his reign as Sunderland boss are true today; lots of effort, fuck all plan. Criticism of Bruce isn't necessarily praise for Benitez, I can comfortably tell you Steve Bruce isn't cut out to manage in the top flight without mentioning our previous manager if you like. The reason he crops up is because the team is much the same that performed to a higher standard by almost every metric. If it makes you feel better we can compare Bruce to every other club in the 19/20 Premier League season? In those comparisons you'll see we're statistically worse than the other 19 clubs in a stack of metrics, bar points. And you can see we've been fortunate in a host of fixtures, and good fortune will run out.

Bruce was a lazy appointment. However, I don't really think that he is the problem at Newcastle, I just don't think he is part of the solution either. The players do seem to like him though, and I find him amiable enough.

Have they been taken over yet?
T-3 days (apparently) which is the end of Ramadan (23/5). Once they see the crescent shaped moon they will, of course, not enjoy the celebration called Eid al-Fitr, but instead announce the purchase of NUFC. Should be around 9pm (Saudi time), so 6pm (GMT). Mags will be lined up outside the Strawberry with telescopes on Saturday looking for the moon and predicting when it will appear in Riyadh.

quite the imagination you have there.

Fleetwood are not our rivals. they are our superiors as we cannot beat them. We beat Newcastle and that's it really.

Did you not see my post to you, or do you not have an answer for me? I could ask it again if you missed it?

I would like to discuss the Newcastle take over with the premier league as well.
I suspect they will give me the same answer as they do her.
Did the Saudi rulers kill your financee? She has been campaigning to the UN about justice for Jamal Khashoggi. Your fans are treating her like dirt because she is trying to fight for justice and isn't afraid to take on this tyrant even if it costs her life!

You certainly live up to your name. The Scum!

He was/is a lazy appointment. The names we were linked with was a veritable who's who of managers from the scrapheap. He was top (bottom) of that pile.

He's not the problem, you're right. That's still Ashley.

He does seem an affable bloke, and when Newcastle fans weren't thrilled by his announcement his pals in the media used his likability as a defence. But just because he'd be a laugh over a pint, doesn't mean he's worth much as a Premier League manager.

watch you don't fall off your high horse there.
No the Saudis haven't killed anyone I know.
I think she has every right to campaign for justice and i am not giving her a hard time.

Just saying the premier league isn't the place to go for justice and they won't discuss the Newcastle take over with her, me, journalists or anyone else.
If she thinks the murder is a reason for the sale to be blocked then she needs to be asking the government if they will discuss it with her. It's the government that imposes international trade sanctions not the the Premier League.

She's absolutely right to use this spotlight to push her cause and some of the comments on twitter are shocking and embarrassing.

She's not writing letters to Disney, or Live Nation or the likes because those deals won't get as much press as this and that's her goal. More attention, more opportunities to raise the issue, more pressure. She doesn't give two shiny fucks about Newcastle United, or the takeover's success/failure, she simply wants justice for the murder of her fiance.

The spenks having a go at her twitter account seem to be forgetting the most important thing. The Premier League don't give a fuck about the murder of Khashoggi, beyond paying lip service to the consideration of it. The Premier League don't give a fuck about letters from Amnesty International either.

She has gone to the government about their relationship with Saudi Arabia and MBS. And she is right to use this takeover as a platform to highlight the evil regime and how much of a tyrant he is.

I agree.
The Premier League still won't discuss the take over with her nor should they as its a confidential process
