Your list is spot onI'd say Allardyce (although I'm not his biggest fan) should probably be pushed up to fans loved, cos they did. And Ready was generally an average manager over his career. And Keane, whilst done well with us, was generally a poor manager.
I've adjusted mine in the quote cos I've no idea how to do the table myself.
| Good Manager | Average Manager | Bad Manager | |
| Fans Love | Sam Allardyce | Peter Reid | Roy Keane |
| Fans Divided | Martin O'Neill | Mick Mac | Jack Ross |
| Fans Hate | David Moyes | Steve Bruce | Beale |
Seen this doing the rounds on Twitter amongst some other clubs and have to admit I struggled with a couple when thinking of the lads
Is my interpretation perfect or can anyone better it:
Good Manager Average Manager Bad Manager Fans LovePeter Reid Roy Keane Ricky Sbragia Fans DividedSam Allardyce Mick Mac Jack Ross Fans HateDavid Moyes Steve Bruce Beale
Rules:
1. No caretaker managers
2. Manager column is consensus in wider footballing landscape rather than how he did with us (e.g. Moyes was an abomination at Sunderland, but that doesn't make him a bad manager - West Ham success etc)
Good Manager | Average Manager | Bad Manager | |
Fans Love | Regis Le Bris | Peter Reid | Roy Keane |
Fans Divided | Mick McCarthy | Martin O'Neil | Paolo Di Canio |
Fans Hate | Chris Coleman | Jack Ross | Simon Grayson |
i stand corrected he was perm for 6 months fair enough
I wouldn't, but that is because I can boogie.Did Allardyce divide the fans? I thought everyone loved him when he was here or is that more about him leaving us? I don't hold that against him, you're always going to take the England job if it's offered to you
If the criteria is that literally every fan has to love them then I’m afraid we may have to leave that square blank. There are even some lunatics who were calling for RLB’s head a couple of months ago.Stating everyone loved him is a pretty bold statement, I know of at least one person who knew all along he was/is a charlatan .
I like mic mac, so he can only go in dividedWhere's the fuckin' hate column for Mick Mac ?
top line: nailed it

If the OP and yourself had suggested that he was very popular with the majority of fans then there wouldn’t have been any question, to use descriptions like universally or everyone would be factually incorrect. If the criteria is that literally every fan has to love them then I’m afraid we may have to leave that square blank. BSA was one of the most universally popular managers we have had in recent memory.
Should I have hyphenated it? Most-universally?If the OP and yourself had suggested that he was very popular with the majority of fans then there wouldn’t have been any question, to use descriptions like universally or everyone would be factually incorrect.
It was a generalisation not to be taken literally.Stating everyone loved him is a pretty bold statement, I know of at least one person who knew all along he was/is a charlatan .
