Man City 115 charges.

Would be opened up to a whole world of challenge by us, and Brighton, as we'd be in the ECL and Brighton would miss out completely - any punishment is likely to take affect from the start of next season, if there is any punishment.
I still think Pep knows they are guilty of a lot and guessing the punishment will hinder him winning the league.

It’s not possible, they can only fine or give them a points deduction. It’s the Premier League who have charged them who are a totally different governing body than the EFL which also means the way the ELF have dealt with the Southampton situation is not comparable either.
Maybe they should show solidarity.

They won’t have trophies taken away as it’d leave PL open to even more legalities from them and clubs who’d benefit. Just look at the clubs whinging about the recent spygate fiasco frinstance as an example.

They won’t be fined as itd mean nowt to their owners.

A huge points deduction would only affect the PL season(s) concerned.

A multi year transfer embargo would hurt the most. One year for every year they were naughty looks like justice to me.
I always thought they’d get away with a monster fine tbh but I think you’re right mate - maybe a 40-45pt deduction to start next season.
No chance. One awakward season in exchange for ten years of success will have them all at it.

According to one video I watched, some of the charges refer to undeclared payments to back room staff, including to Mancini, who I believe was the manager at the time
I’ve posted this a number of times before, but this is the first in a series of articles that explains it all

IIRC der Spiegel were the organisation that broke the story

In response to an earlier post, they would take our EL place on the back of cup wins
Can’t see that happening as the PL would just open themselves up to a legal challenge from us. We are confirmed as already in the competition, and could claim our transfer strategy, marketing etc is already geared up to us being in the EL.

I wouldnt have thought so, if they are found guilty on these charges I expect the FA, the EFL & UEFA will look into it also and if they cheated their way to the cup wins

I agree, that was my point as well mate, we'd have them over a barrel so dont think any point deduction would apply to this season

If Man City were deducted points and dropped out of the Champions league spot, would they take our place in the Europa league by virtue of their cup wins?
Surely we then go up to 6th and qualify through the league anyhow
On oddschecker Arsenal 1000-1 for relegation
City 12-1
Bookies in the know
They’ve had Man City’s odd very low for the last couple of seasons now. They’ve done it to protect themselves in case of a points deduction they don’t know anything

Doesn't necessarily mean that the bookies are in the know, it could just be that lots of people are lumping money on now while the odds are slightly larger, which in turn drives the odds down due to the amount of money being placed against them.

In terms of points deduction, they will only be enforced with effect from next season. Even at 60 points, given who has come up, they do still stand a chance of staying up even if it means them needing to obtain 80-85 points.

Can't see them having any of their titles taken off them. If they did (and for me, that's a big if), EPL would probably handle it the same way they did it in Italy where the titles were removed but not given to any other clubs. They'd just say there was no winners in those years.

Think it will be transfer embargo for maybe 18 months and probably reduced and fine.
They probably already know the outcome as they bought Guehi and Semenyo and I think they could have got them on a free this summer but I could be wrong.
