You weren’t in the PL though. City are. The PLand FL have different rule books.Nothing will happen.
We were made an example of being a small Club. Different rules will apply and money talks.
Tottenham were guilty of similar offences and got a fine. As if all Clubs abide by the rules and the sport is sufficiently governed.
Clubs are businesses. The PL couldnt stop a business being sold to a new owner unless they’re convicted criminals. The PL have only got themselves to blame. They opened the door to state owned clubs. You reap what you sow.

But should the teams they've beaten in semi finals over the years also claim loss of earnings, missing out on a trip to Wembley, etc?I doubt they’d start dishing out titles to other clubs but I would like some sort of compensation for loss of earnings because we would have got into Europe for winning the league cup and who knows where that would have lead us or what type of players we could have signed.
We didn't play in 2013 finalWe’ll get awarded the 2013 EFL cup and the Gaudis will have to lend it to us so we can have our open topper!
I’ve said this for a long time now Swindon, they’ll punish the smaller teams like Swindon, readings,Portsmouths etc of this world and your Man City’s,Chelsea’s,skunks etc are all allowed to take the ****,like you say mate money talks and it’s that corrupt it’s just laughable and has been for a long timeIf we had been a big club we would have escaped with a fine.
It’s history now mate but one tough chapter that I will take to my grave.
The hurt has gone but remember it well.
I am coiled up like a spring. I live in hope every day now that something is about to happen. Quietly confident but being a Swindon fan you just can’t let that hope turn into celebrations because history tells you that another bite on the arse is only going to follow.
Once this Club rises again it’s going to be so much fun.
Just want to be around to go for it one more time and share it with my boys.![]()
Won't happen. Rob Mason confirmed to us on the podcast that the charges are FA and Premier League. League Cup is under the EFL.We’ll get awarded the 2013 EFL cup and the Gaudis will have to lend it to us so we can have our open topper!
They were fined £42m, but not really £42m as the owners got to write off some of it and then I'm sure its spread over 10 years. Leicester will be interesting when they get back to EFL too.It wasn't long ago QPR laughed at the EFL for threatening them when they were promoted, nout happened when they were relegated, if memory serves.

Pretty sure they’ve mentioned it a few times on price of football podcast that the efl didn’t want to deduct points so gave them a pointless (I’ve added that part) fine instead. Is that right? I stand corrected then.
Thought everything just got swept as the efl were initially suggesting they would be relegated from the championship, and the owner just stuck his fingers up at them.
Money has spoilt them, nearly as much as their petulant manager. A little failure may humble them enough to remind them how lucky they've been. What's happened to their fans? Today was embarrassing. My mate is a season ticket holder at the Etihad, reckons they don't celebrate goals unless they are against other big 6 teams

They're pushing hard for himYeah it's ridiculous. Why's he listed Livramento, have I missed something?
4 of those players haven't joined and £200m hasn't been spent. You must be logged on to see media items
It is quite hilarious that the punishment for a club over spending and risking going into serious debt is a....massive fine to put them into massive debt. They were fined £42m, but not really £42m as the owners got to write off some of it and then I'm sure its spread over 10 years.
