He will imo.

Hes lazy as fuck .Touch is shite . Shite in the air. Slow as fuck Finishings class like but hes scoring goals against some of the worst defenders ive ever seen .

He will be back in league 1 in a few year
His touch is good and he's decent in the air. His only problem is he's weak as pissy water.

Majas let himself down with the whole I'm not playing for Sunderland again and just getting his stuff and leaving in a flash. I thought he'd applied himself well, but the ending is a tad sour. Done well to potentially get 3.5 mil for him being a league one player.

What makes you think they are out of their depth?

The size of club is overwhelming, they have no plan of taking us back to where a club of our size belongs the premiership and keeping us there.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. How do they plan on keeping us in the championship or even being competitive?

These two kit the jackpot with our club.

Do you know what the plan is? Have you asked? What do you think they should be doing differently?

Not sure what you mean by hit the jackpot. They got a good deal no doubt about that.

I think they already have set out their plan have they not? Have you not listened to any of the podcasts?

They want the club to be self sufficient, ie living off its own means. If that means selling players to fund others then so be it.

They’ve stabilised the club after a period where we could easily have gone the other way. Yes, Ellis short did us some huge favours but he still needed some one to come in and take it on.

I have absolutely no idea why you are so negative towards them. Everything they have done so far has been positive. The open engagement with the fans is the polar opposite of Short and Bain.

I have yet to see anyone asking why this couldn't be done four months from now. Why mid season when it's so obviously disruptive to the clubs promotion campaign? It's this urgency to fuck off that I don't get, it comes across as a big 'screw you'

It’s called looking after your own interests... Sounds like his agent has done a pretty good job for his client.

Football is business - agents and players will tell lies or half truths, change their minds etc. The lads contract is running out, there are loads of options on the table, new ones come along. They will of course look to say the right thing to all interested parties and keep them all on side while they explore/ consider all options.

If the lad had a long term contract then I’d understand the ‘ethical or moral compass’ argument - however in this situation he needs to sort out a contract and has taken his time and simply pushed for the best deal he could get. Good luck to the lad.
Sorry like, but it's bent esque behaviour..

Its Areet though, we'll no doubt struggle

Agree with most of that but touch is shite? Not for me like, one of the first things I liked about him was his control and hold up play when it’s played to his feet.

Disappointed he’s gone but wish him all the best. Done excellently for us this season but it’s a great opportunity for him.

Just a smaller scale poor mans Darren Bent to me. I feel the same way about him as I do Bent. Being young is no excuse he's not 10. Enjoy your money snake.

Exactly. But people are wanting to lick his teabag

Nobody is saying it isn't, some people are missing the point here..

I would love to hear their plan. A higher caliber owner would have drawn it up for the supporters from day one or at least an outline, where do they want to go or take this club? All we got was "the pisstaking stops here" unfortunately pisstaking happens at every club that is football, it is how you manage it.

They have told the fans more than any other owners I’ve ever heard. I think it’s fair enough they concentrated on what was going on short term first. It’s wrong to suggest all we got is “the puss taking stops here” we have heard loads from them.
I’d like to hear the longer term plans as well mind, might try and get something around that next time they do a podcast.

Ferk that wouldnt want him anywhere near the side.
Why? He played perfectly well right up to the end. Nothing to suggest he was 'doing a Bent'. If all parties had agreed he would see out the season with us and then move, I'm sure he would have kept banging in the goals.

Maja & his agent will be aware that these owners are not exactly loaded with money. The reality is that this squad will either be facing another season in League 1 or treading water in the championship next year. I wish the lad well.

Listen to the podcasts with Roker Report. Im sure Stewart Donald spoke of their plan on them.

Which shows how little Schwarzer knows about how the numbers work when young players sign a pre-contract at a foreign club (you get peanuts), and how the money doesn't go if you're still getting a parachute payment. Ex-players really shouldn't comment on football finances because, by and large, they're clueless.

Yeah but they're not on Sky to make sensible comment - they're there to fill airtime, the modern day equivalent of column inches and, like his papers, Murdoch doesn't care much what he fills it with.

He’s got a very good first touch. One of the reasons he’s able to get a yard on defenders and finish.

And whilst he’s not going to bully Big centre halves he’s scored a few with his head. He’s not shite in the air by any stretch.

Can’t get too vexed at Maja.

He’s a young lad with no genuine ties to Sunderland. He’s done a great job for the club this season and in so doing has got himself a dream move. Massive increase in salary (presumably) and a chance to experience a new culture in a beautiful city.

It’s difficult for Sunderland supporters to see past the emotion of the club but to most players it’s a job.

That’s fine, but the issue is he could have been honest with the club months ago, and we’d have time to plan properly. And we met his financial demands. The only person coining it in is his fookin agent..

I was hugely cynical about the spin when they came in, and I still wish they would reign it in a bit. But I don’t think there is anything you can really criticise the owners for:

- sorted out N’Dong and Papy situation. Were tough and clearly was a gamble but it worked
- worked with the fans to make it feel like our club again. Even small things
- balanced the books. Spending is easy if you have cash, but not sustainable if you don’t. Keep spending and we go bust
- the comments on the youth contracts on the last podcasts was spot on. Finally someone gets the value in it
- hired a manager that should be successful long term. Yeah it’s been frustrating recently but it’s not realistic to expect an immediate easy ride
- brought Sartori in, someone who could invest in a sustainable club. Note: not someone who will just bank roll the ride.

Remember how low we were. This is a positive time, but it will have speed bumps
