They'll only be interested in the cold hard facts. A club are selling their talisman for a few million. Nothing else will register with them because they don't care/know enough about Sunderland as much as any other club (Phillips aside).

If Barnsley or Charlton were selling Moore or Taylor for just a couple of million we'd be saying the same thing about them.

We already have about Barnsley selling their players & people were celebrating Pompey losing that Thompson

Josh is a cracking player. Too good for the third division. Decent price considering contract (especially if there are sell ons) We’d be mid table without his goals so the rest of the team better start putting their shooting boots on.

The crowd isn't bipolar, the reason it's one of the best places to play is the same reason it becomes one of the hardest when the team are shite. Our two relegations were exceptions to the rule as we all became apathetic towards it all.

I’d need a week or three to discuss it with my family. Mam, Dad (and others) I can stay where I’m happy for a little bit more money but my agent (who looks after my best interests) has said he could get me a move to a top German team where all the other best young English players are plying their trade. Ok son, go where your agent has advised.
