Deadline had to be set. Him and his agent are taking the piss and had been offered what they wanted. Had they not done something of that ilk then people would just be criticising Donald for not sticking to what he's said from the start.

This is just Josh f***ing Maja btw, the current owners didn't let his contract run down, we can't just let players go for free.

Like I said earlier in the thread as soon as he the whispers started from his agent that he wanted to move we should have sold him ASAP.

We have to get out of the culture which stems from years ago that the players are doing us a favour by playing for us.

We need a squad full of players that want to play for us.

As we're in this shite league. The league has little regard from rest of the UK and virtually no international coverage. It's the minor leagues really
 
Grigg would be a good replacement for this season, which is all we had Maja for anyway if we'd refused to sell.

I think Maja will become a decent top flight player, but you can't force players to sign and once he's in the last year and he's in form it's too late.

So in my opinion they've done well to get upto £3.5m for him, depending on what the exact terms are.

It's obviously a risk letting it go to tribunal but I'm sure there'd have been afew English sides offering him good money as well as abroad.

I'd be fine if we were playing decent football & after someone better than Will Grigg by the way. Not fine with weakening the side after getting all the bullshit about strengthening. Don't think they'll get a player as good as Maja.

Donald reckoned we already had money to spend, budget must be through the roof now?
