Then again, the exact same could happen with this new regime.

They’ve known the likes of Maja, Gooch, Stryjek, Embleton and Hume were out of contract in the summer since the day they walked in, and so far they’ve only sorted one.

Maybe they have to revisit what they see as ‘fair’ offers.

Should have been more pro-active about the whole situation. Should also have never played it out so publicly imo.

They are working within a very strict set of guidelines relating to players wages and what is allowed. I assume that, at the beginning of the season they were not in a position to offer improved contracts due to the massive earners still being on the books.

Just a matter of time before he fucks off.

I'd be surprised if he hasn't done a Colback/Bellion and secretly agreed to run out his contract and leave on a free at the end of the season.

Why wasn't his contract sorted out by the previous regime?

The youngsters were the only bright spark last season and yet Maja, Gooch, Hume, Honeyman & Embleton etc have been allowed to enter the final year of their contracts despite showing some promise.

Luckily it looks like most will sign but we're set to lose our most important player for a pittance in the Summer.

It's another scenario where lack of foresight has affected us here, even more of a shame because Maja is the most talented of our young crop and he's the one wanting to move on.

I'm glad he's at least staying till the end of the season and I'm confident his attitude won't turn bad.

I’m sure maja rejected a contract offer during last season

You haven't agreed with 95% of their decisions man, you criticised them all summer and you are criticising them now. This I like the owners but doesn't wash.
I have said consistently over Maja that they needed to offer him a decent deal and that of they didn't then they need to be accountable for that. But I will wait for proof one way of the other before ranting they have done things wrong. That is not being unquestioning, its waiting for facts.
I admit I can't agree that they should have offered him what he wanted in August, like you do, when when we had no idea how he would perform. What if he's been shite.

yes I have.

My position has never changed, I trhink they should have invested more in the team, and have taken a massive gamble by not, benefit of the doubt in the summer but they need to do it now

I think they could have dealt with the Maja thing better, and I would criticise them if Embleton leaves. I also said Maja shouldn't be sold in any circumstance this January, that is more important.

Every other decision I think I agree with, so I'd say that is more than 95% actually

I don't care who the owners are, me, you, Stewart Donald, Mike Ashley, I have no bias I judge everything on his merit and I've been consistent on that

So you are wrong there.

I also didn't say that, you think Maja's wage demands would have been the same in August than in January after 15 goals, stop talking nonsense Janey

That is why 95% of them end up not getting promoted

And quite a few people have said why can't we sign players for next year which can get us over the line

Its a hell of a gamble not spending any money on the team this year, probably might get promoted, but the consequences of not getting promoted are disastrous

Thats more of a gamble then spending 2mill on some players, I mean its pittance, we've been getting crowds of 38k and 46k

Nah should have been sorted this summer too

Fella, you need to give it a rest and go make a cuppa..you've been on this crusade of negativity since the start of the season (before a ball was kicked in fact) and whilst fans on here were telling you it would be ok you wouldn't have any of it, fast forward to now and we're in a healthy position and promotion looks a shoe in yet you are still having a go at the new owners.

I get you're angry at being wrong about the new owners and that it's went far better than what you were expecting but just roll with it, good times ahead.

they gavnt got that sort of money? stewart spent £10m at eastleigh man...juan not charlie is the funder of the club..the owners have already said they are happy to fund a £3m loss this year and a £5m next..
Time will tell, like I say I hope I'm wrong and I genuinely believe they have the club's best interests at heart and have made a great impact so far

You said they should have sorted it in August, it's amazing how you somehow always manage to fail to answer replies that show you have said something that you then go off at a tangent to deny. You told me I needed to read posts properly after I said we should have just sorted it in the summer and given him what he wanted, despite not knowing how he would perform. You told me to read your posts properly because that's not what you said. I suggested August was the summer.

Ross will be backed and a new deal for Embleton
