Poocastle should have gone down last season but(Most on here wont admit it for fear of mag accusations) they have a world class manager.

Wolves will be fine.
wolves model relies on one person..an agent..and thats high risk..are their owners chinese? chinese economy is sliding badly and the govt could do what the russians did and go after the oligarchs..blame them for why the "economic miracle" they promised citizens has gone wrong..thats high risk...they have a rickety model that could work..but is v high risk..watford have a sustainable one, as do tottenham..leicester and iothers..we can have that and still be top ten premier league..the geographical location hunders really major progress beyond that..

Nothing wrong with what SD has done.....All dealt with in house till the agent thought he would start playing the clever shite by chatting to Sky News......Rather than let the agent drive the narrative SD has taken the power from him and called him out for what he is, a f***ing parasitic shit house stirring up shit where there was none.

£10k a week, with another pay increase in the summer if we are promoted or a release clause if not is a bloody good deal from Maja's point of view, what more can the lad want at this stage of his career.

I agree it’s a cracking deal. I’m just not sure SD should be trying to make himself look good as his primary driver. At least that’s how I’m interpreting this. I think the way he’s handled it has heaped a load of pressure on Maja, who I also think has handled this poorly. And his agent can get fucked as well !!

He knows what he is getting here. Surroundings etc. IMO, he should be making the call. It'd to blame the agent. The agent acts at the players instructions. Therefore he doesn't want to stay
Do you think he'll get a better offer than that?

I'd be surprised if he gets more money than that off anyone.

More importantly where can he get a better offer?

Of he can and his agent has lined it up for him then fine, he's doing his job, I suspect he has nothing in the pipeline and that's why he's trying to drum up interest in him via sky, this is a play for a bigger bonus from a buying club or from us, I'd bet my mortgage this is to do with the agents money and not majas.

I would be very surprised if there is money on the table elsewhere for that weekly figure and a transfer fee, that would be a hell of a risk.......Anybody who has scouted him will see what the rest of us do, a very good finisher but a very raw talent. He lacks strength, is easily knocked off the ball, can look a bit Bambi on ice but then bang, he scores goals.....Said it months ago, if he goes through a lean spell like all strikers do what then? There is not a lot else to him.

On the flip side, the last 3 games he has started to look better in general play, particularly at Blackpool. is this a temp shift or is the coaching starting to get through to him? If its the latter then stay as he will be worth a lot more in 12 months time than he is now.

That's what you'd hope, but, I'm not certain that there aren't a bunch of agents who are venal twats looking to do what is best for themselves and treating players like commodities - especially young players.

Of course. That's how the majority work even still though. Maja should be absolutely sure he wants to be here, continue to score goals and develop as a player. Surely even he can see this? The fact the offer allegedly had a get out of jail release clause if we don't get promoted should be more than enough for him to make his own mind up.

Again, part of my point. It will simply add fuel to the fire if he doesn't have a good game. Can see some fans now ...

Lazy bastsed, turning down 10k a week etc
An alarming percentage of our fans would still be calling him a lazy bastard 30 seconds after he slotted home the winner today even if he’d signed the deal.
