I gave up recently on another thread about Maja. I explained my point over and over (whilst really trying not to do it in a sweary idiot proof way) and he just couldn't get it. I was bored in the end.

Genuinely think this place can't give him any enjoyment or is doing him any good. Maybe he needs to take a break from it ?
Is The Rat the tit head formally known as Johnson? Doesn't half go on like him, stamping his feet and getting into a hissy fit....

You know what, tin hat on with this, and it's just an initial reaction on one aspect but since this all came out yesterday one thing that's not sat right with me is how absolutely condescending and patronising some reactions .....nay, orders (!!) Have been from some quarters. I've seen absolutely loads on social media along the lines of "remember you must support maja" etc. "You must give the lad the backing."
That kinda thing.
Fuck me one 'fans Twitter account' (may have been wms but not sure so apologies if not) even tweeted a f***ing graphic last night that they'd knocked up along the lines of "remember to give your full support to Josh maja"

Now I'm in no way saying barrack him, that's not the intention of this post.

But our fans literally travel 100s, If not 10000s of miles a month supporting this club. A lad has basically intimated his future isn't at our club. But our fans don't f***ing need to be TOLD HOW to support in this instance!
People ARE allowed their own opinions. And saying back him is an opinion too....perfectly fine and allowed.

But some of the pontifications on Twitter and the like just see so OTT and as I say, patronising and condescending (imo)

If they were any good he would have signed. Levy is a good example of a great chairman.
And what more could they have done ?do ye not think player power might have slightly got us in this mess ?Levy ?does the fact that hes at a Premier club have nowt to do with it. Ye talkin bollocks mate

More details from rr I’m guessing from the don, 10k a week, pay rise should we go up, release clause should we not. Seems fair deal to me.

I think that’s bad news. There’s not much more we are able to offer us there? The only thing that offer doesn’t have is the opportunity for him to go to say Celtic or the Bundesliga for a negligible fee meaning that he and ergo his agent get a big juicy signing on bonus.

Having read that piece I really think that’s what they must be holding out for. Obviously total supposition based on limited info mind.

Not sure it’s been mentioned but he was announced as the NE young player of the year yesterday. Ironic timing

May garner more interest from English clubs, so could be a blessing in disguise. Might also make him think.......Ermmmm no probably not!

 A lengthy break for him would benefit us all mate.

We cant seem to hold on to our good players(Or shit ones). This is the responsibility of our chairman/owner, blame must be pointed at them.

A salesman cant blame his customers for not buying if he misses his target.

We offered him what he asked for.....how can any blame be pointed at the owner?
