He announced the deadline publicly a week before sky said anything at all man. He’s built everything up to this point and Maja’s agent has played the game and used it to his advantage dropping the bomb on d-day to sky news and the whole country. Something I can’t ever remember really seeing before.

We could find a replacement in the window regardless. We will have already spent the last few months identifying targets. We don’t have to wait till Maja says no to target other players.

Donald still wants him to sign and still thinks he will. He’s saying exactly the same thing now as when he announced the deadline a week ago even though it’s passed. It doesn’t sound like he’s doing anything different. The only thing that has changed is everyone hates Maja because they feel rejected.

I know people might say I'm harsh but I'm a big believer in people taking responsibility for their actions.

Saying "my agent told me not to sign for SAFC" 12 hours after agreeing to sign it reeks of a childish inability to face personal responsibility for your actions.

Maja does not get away with an "it's the agents fault" excuse in my eyes.

Hes 20 not 15....usually by 20 people are making their own life choices. Seems he has made his..if he dosnt agree with his agents "advice" dont take it.
If he does take it then live with what happens next ..we move on.
 
Dint know why people are getting worked up by it if he wants to go (and using the agent as an excuse is a load of shite imo) then we should just sell him now and move on there's nowt worse than keeping a player who doesn't want to be here
As soon as he has a bad game the crowd will turn on him saying he can't be arsed, doesn't want to be here etc etc and that will just be the worst scenario for all concerned

It was doing the rounds on the internet and reported on here as well.

The deadline makes a lot more sense when you factor in that information.

Otherwise we have to assume that "Stewart Donald randomly decided to set an arbitrary deadline for Maja for no reason whatsoever and put it out via the media for shits and giggles".

Exactly mate.

And my 15 year old SAFC supporting son gets the problem with this behaviour so I'd hope Maja does too.

  • Jack Ross was extremely positive, hardly surprising since Maja told him he was signing
