That's the thing though. Most fans will see it as he doesn't want to sign even though we offered what he wanted. That's the chairman's words in public domain. Now, he plays and doesn't do the business it will be a quick change from support to anger in the stands.

Josh Maja update.

Yesterday Josh asked to see Jack to say he will sign.

Today I got a call from Sky TV saying he won't sign.

Josh advised his agent has said don't sign but no courtesy to tell the club - Also we offered what the agent indicated!!! Busy January ahead

This. There comes a time when you have to say what's happening. We've done that and found out he doesn't want to sign apparently on advice of agent after being offered what he wanted. How anyone can find fault with club i just don't know. Now we have a bit time to try and sort something. If this was all left to last fe2 days of transfer window people would be saying club should have set a deadline ha ha.

I find it hard to criticise Maja when we are a league 1 side. It's just what happens when you're 3rd tier. If we are in this division next year you can guarantee likes of Watmore will be off in summer

Maja and his advisors have behaved despicably I cant believe any Sunderland fan with the club at heart can defend them. We have given them everything they asked for. No way is he bgger than the club.
 
i'd prefer him to stay but only if he wants to play for us. if he wants away then so be it. good luck to him if he wants to seek pastures new.
it's not the end of the world, we'll still kick off at 3 oclock tomorrow, the week after that and the week after that.
for years these agents have been called parasites from the football fan world, we appear to be standing up to one and there's ructions.

It's what happens all the time. We're only seeing it played out publicly because we set a public deadline.
 
I think he's going to get stick tomorrow... Not from me I hasten to add... It could affect the rest of team.... Imagine a 3 or 4 defeat Maja gets hauled off... Or he gets a hatrick and we are all loved up.. Why do we put ourselves through it..... Any ideas from the lower leagues who might be worth a risk ?

Catch 22 though. If he's benched and we go on a shit run there will be calls to play him. I'd play him personally, everyone is different. I wouldn't grief him, however I wouldn't sing his name at the minute either.

no one is. been said a million times that players, managers, chairman come and go. it's the fans who have the real emotional attachment and stay on after everyone of them moves on.
