So what would you have done? You'd prefer someone behaving like Ridsdale at Leeds, and coming in with opening offer to players that were twice what they were expecting? I have no problems with Donald using Twitter to spike fake news, because that's the only way he can be sure what he wants to get out won't be subject to the same distortion as the original story. The only villain here is Keven Hunt.

Oh, and I've never claimed to be a "top financial expert". I'm just someone with a professional qualification who tries to explain things that aren't necessarily obvious to non-accountants.
You’re wasting your time mate. He’s one of those that wanted untold millions spent to keep him. He’s got amnesia or something as he appears to have totally forgotten how we almost lost our club. He won’t listen he’ll just keep lashing out until he gets tired or gets over it whichever comes first. He like many others on here are simply pissed off because in spite of offering what was asked we can’t hang on to one of the players they didn’t want to leave. We know how much some on here love a scapegoat, so in this case it’s the club, namely Donald. Sometimes you just can’t have your own way and no amount of foot stamping and squealing will alter that. If Maja really wanted to stay he could have signed the dotted and told his agent to do one. It’s in the public domain what’s happened yet some are still holding the club accountable. Baffling, it really is.

You could well be right, I think if there is to be a u turn it has to be the next 24 hours, but personally I think his agent informing sky sports of the news told us all everything about this sorry saga and the intent of the Maja camp.
Maybe more about the intent of the agent rather than Maja.

He's still relatively young for a big centre forward. That type of player, for some reason not known to me, tends to take longer to reach peak levels. He might have improvement in him. Many so called "industry experts" know approximately zero. Think about the number of players apparently written off as younger players who later end up doing well. Adopting the stance that I'd he's failed before at a certain level he's forever doomed to fail at that level doesn't stack up to deeper scrutiny, either in life or in football. But, you're entitled to your opinion, that goes without saying. Maybe our opinions are capable of improvement too, or maybe they're forever doomed to remain at a certain superficial level. Who knows? Certainly not me! Either way, can we agree that the remainder of the season is the priority? We can deal with the Championship as & when are in it.
henis 26...dont know many 26 year olds who have suddenly got to a level they failed at twice before..a few different managers have had him in the championship and seen him more often than you have but aye you know better like..

I disagree.
Didn't have a problem at all with a deadline either. These contract talks started bloody months ago ffs. If Maja and his shitbag agent said a few days before the end of the window, he's not signing a contract, and his agent is actively trying to sell him or more than likely has clubs lined up. Leaves us in the shit to get a replacement in. He won't see out his contract, he'll be gone within a week, nailed on.

What if x was what we simply couldn't afford. Maja will know what his mate at Swansea is on and maybe fancies being on the same. An amount at this current is beyond us.

That isn’t what’s happened though.

He asked for an amount and we agreed to it. Therefore his not signing the deal has nothing to do with what other clubs can or can’t offer.

How do you work that out?
In theory the contract offered in May would be the same as todays.
The club would also need some kind of commitment from the player as we are in no position to carry passengers.
Clearly the agent is up to something, we will find out in due course.
Passengers? He hasn’t let the situation affect him at all until now. Why could that position not be maintained? See what happens, an offer might or might not have come in in January. I’d say far less likely to receive an offer a week ago before we went public about the Friday deadline. It was a calculated risk by Donald to try and force their hand and it backfired. That is what has happened here, and it may ultimately derail our promotion bid. Time will tell

He can’t play for us again as you cannot have players who are not commited. He isn’t. It doesn’t happen in football. Once a player decides he’s not committing the club offloads. Same will happen here. Shame, good prospect but that’s football. It breeds shithouses

Hasn’t stopped Ramsey performing for arsenal and they have no issues in selecting him when needed

And Stewart?

Stu's a wild card. But he's done just fine so far, so the honeymoon period continues.

If I were Maj, I wouldn't have loved the comments - but I appreciate that the owner says he's going to try to convince Maja to change his mind, and says the supporters should back him. The last part to me suggests that he won't stop Jack from picking him, bin him in the reserves, etc., which would only hurt us.

We don't know if there's offers for Maja yet. Until we know the outcome we're all pretty much in the dark mate.

I heard we'd had a 3 mill offer from a prem team but probs a load of shite.

I think that's a shite offer anarl. If Exeter can get 2.6 + sell ons for Ampadu surely we can get 3+ for Maja
