He can't want to stay that much then, clearly
He's twenty and almost certainly could earn more elsewhere. I love my job and who I work for but offered significantly more elsewhere and, despite wanting to stay at a place I love, I might be swayed by someone who is supposed to be entirely on my side and impartial advising me I'd be mental to refuse a massive pay rise. He's got a difficult decision to make and whilst I've no doubt he wants a bloody good deal his agent is enough of a tw@t to go to sky before discussing things with the club, I suspect a good proportion of the blame lies with him.

You are so f***ing immature like its embarrassing

Have an ignore

You sound like a mag, total messiah complex.

You don't have the best interests in the club at heart and never have done, not sure how you can call yourself a fan.
Have you given Donald any grief on your new twitter account yet then?

Sell.

This is supposed to be a new start. A 20 year old with 15 senior career goals to his name can’t be holding this club to ransom. It’s time for the club to be steadfast in the way we treat arseholes.

He isn’t. He told the club what he wanted and they offered him it. His agent has told him not to accept it presumably because he thinks he can get him a move to a club that isn’t in league one.

The lad has been staying behind in training on his own shooting at open nets because everyone else has fucked off home. Not the attitude of someone who’s head has been turned.

If anything affects his form it’s our fans booing him from the stands from the first whistle like jilted teenagers. If the fans are behind him why would his confidence drop?

Of course this deadline has caused all this outrage. It’s all well and good Donald begging people to support Maja on twitter but he has caused it all. And despite that he’s now said he wants to try and change him mind proving this deadline means fuck all anyway.
Maja and his agent have caused all this.

Sorry mate I disagree. We have had a disaster in recent transfer windows and are trying to do things more sensibly. If Maja is going to leave that is fair enough but he has had plenty of time to decide if the contract is good enough for him. Is there anything wrong in asking for an answer and setting a deadline - it would be ok in any other industry. His agent will have been touting him about. All we are saying is - if you are going let us know so we can get a replacement - what on earth is wrong with that? I really don't think there is anything wrong with what the club has done - it seems, for once, we are being sensible.

Yep. Totally needless and has caused all kinds on irrational fury. There isn’t a deadline anyway if Donald is happy to continue to convince him to stay after it regardless.

It has achieved one thing....we know as it stands that he's not planning to sign the contract. That could have sat on the table for another few weeks and we'd have lost the opportunity to sell and replace him.

Now we have a good idea of the state if things we can choose to either convince him or move him on. Better to be in this situation than just hoping he signs ghen finding out he was never going to on February 1st.

Correct, good post.

If we could only get £2.5M for him, then wouldn't we be better off keeping him to the end of the season? Getting promotion is worth more than £2.5M?

Should stay IMO and sign a 2.5 year deal with a £3m release clause.

He's done well in this division but he's not outstanding and totally dominant at this level. Get a few more games under his belt and either play in the Championship next season or get his big move.

Pointless moving to a bigger club like Bournemouth and playing U23 football week in week out and stagnating as understudy to Wilson and King.

Who Assoro ? How long did he sign for for Swansea ? he's not even getting on the bench there, if he's not getting played and his contract ends where do you think he's going to go, Liverpool ?

Asoro started the season in the team at Swansea. He's been given quite afew opportunities but his attitude & application was shit so he's been dropped out.

Sick of reading about Asoro really, no relevance to Maja, if he'd started the season playing well then he'd still be in the Swansea team now.
