Personally i think he's took the piss, he's obviously been giving Donald/Ross lip service when saying he wants to stay and would sign. If that was really the case, he would have told his agent this and signed the contract. People are saying this should have been sorted in the summer when Donald took over but back then Donald probably had more important things to deal with than renewing the contract for a striker that wasn't exactly banging them in.

At the end of the day, if he doesn't want to be here then fuck him. As we all know, no players bigger than the club.
 
Since Ross said that he will play Maja no matter what he was laughing, no need to sign a contract or move, just take the piss instead with no reprocussions whatsoever. The piss taking party is still in full swing.

he could have sold it for a profit it after buying it

they got a fantastic deal, debt free, massive club, and minimal investment needed to get it promoted

they are going to do very very well out of sunderland, and good luck to them

100% agree, get rid of him if he wont sign. This is going back to the dark days of when players ruined our club with us pandering to their every need.

they have committed to £8m of losses this year and next...they are working for free..when they think of profit they think of the discount rate on the money..they could get a gross profit, but one that reflects their hours of free work (quinny charged the club for his labour, stewart wont even charge the club expenses) and the discount rate on the money?

I didn’t mention Bain. Show me where I mentioned him. I was pointing out that no matter when this offer was made it wouldn’t have been acceptable to you. He was offered what he asked for, he told his manager he wanted to stay, the following day his agent said he wasn’t staying. Now please tell me in whose universe could our owners have done better? In case you missed it, back in August our owners were busy trying to put a team together, and implement a plan to keep our club going. I’d honestly have been furious if Maja had taken priority over this.

well know ross said he would play him regardless of contract sutuation.,,..if maja doesnt try on the pitch he wouldnt play..its not that long ago he was only on the bench for us,..

They didn't offer him what he wanted till January, far too late.

No point saying out on this forum at the min, the owners are untouchable its mad.

Exactly, people are saying we should keep him for the season just to push for promotion, fuck that, we know how influential players can be to the dressing room when they don't want to be here, we need players that want to give their all for the club.

Maja was a poor unproven player until this season, along the same lines as Embleton ........ so its unreasonable to think he would have been offered a great deal prior to his great scoring run this season. We did all we could in a bad situation by offering what he asked for.
