Mags selling their stadium to themselves

Call me a cynic, but the if this runs deeper?

What if the PIF have bought the stadium out from under Newcastle so that they can expand/develop it outside of the beady watchful eye of PSR. They pay what ever back handlers they need to to make it happen, and then in the future they sell the new stadium back to the club having made a huge loss on it through the new company?
Would need to be sold back at market value though. Would the football club entity ever have the funds to acquire a Spurs type stadium worth billions? It can't just be transferred over for £1

Weren’t rules around this stuff meant to be tightened after the shit Chelsea pulled?. I mean everyone knows they’ve sold the stadium to another pif company so in reality gifted themselves £172m cash injection. How is that still allowed to go on? If anyone sells anything to a company that they also own it should automatically fail any test. Or have the premier league learnt nothing from city and Chelsea running rings around them for the past twenty years.

I think stadium investment is outside of PSR anyway. And next season when it's governed by SCR, it pretty much only restricts spending on the men's first team.

Change the rules that all clubs vote on?, doesn't matter who is in the charge. The clubs are 20 shareholders making up and voting for their own rules.
He cant directly change them but he could certain use his influence to make sure the rule changes are instant and not years down the line, if the EFL are making the changes before you then you know you're too late in my opinion. I know he works for the clubs and hes doing an incredible job but for football as a whole he isnt doing too good sadly.

Is it worth billions though?

Just because something cost billions to make, doesn’t mean the end product is worth billions.

Looking forward to Trippier being sold to a Saudi team for £25m in the summer
A quote from their Finance bloke

"This is some frustration for us. Our competitors can sell a player to a Saudi club for massive profit and bank that for their various compliance calculations."
This is useful in explaining why Newcastle don't sell, for example, Kieran Trippier to a Saudi club for £50m. If Trippier is valued at £10m, that £40m profit counts for nothing in the calculations of financial rules. The frustration is understandable, given rivals have benefited from this.

How dare you not let US cheat

It is cheating. Dodgy as. Same shite Chelsea been pulling with hotel and their ladies team. Sadly seems to be a case of “if others cheat, and are allowed to do so, we do the same”.
Football has become more about loopholes to spend money/money laundering/sportswashing than it is about the actual game, the teams and the history behind them or even, god forbid, the supporters who are the REAL lifeblood of the game.

They haven't exactly gone about in a smart way though. They spent huge amounts of money on players with very little resale value and then also refuse to sell them (see Isak) then panic and buy more players with not much value/not good enough. If they were more patient and slowly built up by buying and selling talent then they'd be in a much better position. But they've been absolutely mugged off from everyone including their own recruitment team

Yes I’d agree. They need to be selling better. Their egos don’t allow it but Isak should have been sold day 1 and probably they’d have had Ekitike instead of Voldemort. Just like this summer they need to be selling Tonali and gordon and buying the next versions at half the price. Instead of allowing Howes - he looks good on match of the day - scouting approach. Which costs top dollar to buy PL players. 55m for Elanga 😂😂 you can’t tell me there isn’t a European player for half that just as good

But the clubs also vote when the changes come in, the clubs hold all the power. They do exactly what tgey want
