Mags selling their stadium to themselves

Few mags are getting themselves into a mess over this on Facebook. Just had one arguing with me that they haven’t sold the land or the stadium just the leasehold 🙈🤣🤣🤣 I mean I’ve got very very limited knowledge of this stuff but selling the leasehold kinda means you’ve sold the stadium mate as a leasehold means the property that’s on land you don’t own ie your leasing the land. They’re having a f***ing cracking few weeks like this is mint and just adds to the 1-2 win 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am sure this will make it to the world of “Deluded RTG” but if someone could explain to me how not spending money in the transfer window during this period, losing 100 million quid to the point you had to sell your stadium to protect you from PSR and lease it back over 50 years is a win and a sign the Saudis are working away around the rules? The same rules that eventually caught up with Everton, Forest, Chelsea, Villa and potentially Man City?

2024 - Promised a world class Stadium
2025 - Promised a world class training ground

2026 - Sold their Ground to a shell company specifically set up to avoid PSR breaches

The mag has already spun it as a accountancy “tweak” and shows that the new stadium or redevelopment announcement is imminent 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Think the fat virgin is dead.

Call me a cynic, but the if this runs deeper?

What if the PIF have bought the stadium out from under Newcastle so that they can expand/develop it outside of the beady watchful eye of PSR. They pay what ever back handlers they need to to make it happen, and then in the future they sell the new stadium back to the club having made a huge loss on it through the new company?
