LVCC - Yorkshire v Durham

Tough day, we lost the first two sessions but came back strongly the third. The lads stuck at it all the way through and didn't let their heads drop, even when the crowd starting getting on their backs for clapping each other. The Yorkies are a terrible crowd, constantly cheering and applauding byes and leg byes, very few ever seem to acknowledge good play from the opposition.

Well done Durham.

Funny last season they were taking the p!ss out of Mustard for his encouragement, they sharp shut up when they realised we were close to victory.

decent comeback. need to get near their score and as today shows, wickets can fall quickly.

At one stage I was worried we weren't going to get any bowling points!!! Now it's a case of making sure we get our heads down and get these last few wickets and then some batting points. Should be an interesting days cricket tomorrow.

Fuckin hell man we take teams to headingly to beat them , not to cheer them up . It's cricket not a birthday tea. Winner laughs last and the loser doesn't weep is how it works .
Nice to see rushy get a couple though , well done chris ;)

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Hopefully we can stop them getting the 5th batting point in the process pick up our 3rd bowling point.

You're right, play the game hard and fair, that's the way it should be, but cricket crowds aren't generally like football crowds. Most opposition crowds applaud good play from either side, but not this lot, they have a massive chip on their shoulder when it involves Durham.

Absolutely this. You will see plenty appreciation of opposition players down at Durham. Yorkshire crowd are a strange breed, think they are better than everyone else.

Probably don't like 'little old Durham' being a lot more successful recently.

Excellent comeback, looked an awful, awful day at one point. Hopefully get them out for less than 400 early doors.

i can remember m!ichael vaughan getting a standing ovation in one of his last games for yorkshire up here. he was out for single figures in a t20.

yorkshire fans are jealous of durhams success imo
