Incidently, these two are three runs from what would become the second highest partnership of the innings. Which at 26, simply isn't good enough for any team, any innings, anywhere. That to me signifies just how badly the innings has been.

If he's fit to bat he should have come out at number 7 or number 8, if he isn't fit he shouldn't be risked. There are enough injury concerns as it is.
Well I think they were hoping pringle might do a bit better with the bat than he has done.

Pretty poor to have rushy going past your score and beyond it rather easily

I can understand your sentiment, but just to have him at all is a bonus. He's clearly a proud lad and wants to help the cause in any way he can.

Lead is 232 and the longer we can stay out there the better. Rain forecast tomorrow and while I don't expect a washout, a bit of wet stuff could help us out. We could see a return to the first mornings conditions and if batting suddenly becomes difficult again we have a chance.

Rushy 35*, lead is 236.

I'm not blaming him in anyway - of course he was always going to want to bat. The management should have made the decision for him though, I reckon. Why risk him at this stage with so much cricket still to play? Hopefully he's just going to get his bad hand out of the way and try to get in line, allowing Rushworth a bit of a bonus slog.

Tricky situation for Pringle mind, he stuck around but he was probably undecided about what to do, seemed to be batting time rather than just getting a quick fire 30

If he was unsure what to do when he had already faced about 40 balls and number 11 walked in to join him, then he needs to take up a different sport!!
