Kent 34/7![]()
Stoneman's stats in particular are worrying. He was talking earlier on in the season about how he was being mentioned for England. He is nowhere near that standard and looking at his innings so far this season, bar 1 against Yorkshire I'd suggest he needs to knuckle down and forget any distracting talk:To be fair our batting averages in general are awful.
For comparison Somerset have five players in their lineup who average over 40, we dont have any. Only Colly (just) averages over 35. Fair enough Taunton is a flat track but thats a worrying stat.
Can anyone remember playing Lancashire at Aigburth a couple of season ago. It was warm, hazy day and we were skittled out for about 90. Callum Thorp then came on and the ball was moving all over the shop and they got skittled out for about 85?@DurhamCricket: Paul Collingwood has won the toss and we will bat first on a sunny day at Taunton.
Good start.
Stuart Rainer interestingly writes - "It's a hazy, warm morning at Taunton and the pitch looks pretty green, but many is the captain to have fallen for that one in this fixture in recent years."
Hopefully it means that his bad spell is now, every player has one during the season, and he will come good soon.Thought Stoneman made good progress last year but he is struggling badly this season. Basically a walking wicket every game and we are normally always 1 down before we get to 20. Shite
Be interesting too see what happens when they bat particularly with rushworth moving it about the place.28/4![]()
are you always negativeThis is f***ing dreadful. Fully expect us to be skittled for less than 200 and then be fielding for 4/5 sessions.

so you want it to rain therefore not wanting us to winI expect that by the time they bat (this afternoon) the pitch and overhead conditions will mean there's no movement whatsoever. According to Rainer of the Chronicle now seems likely to be the best bowling conditions of the match.
I can only hope that the forecast rain over the next couple of days can juice the wicket up nicely for our seam trio.
