WR Smith (2)
MD Stoneman (26)
PD Collingwood (5) Captain
DM Benkenstein (44)
BA Stokes (38)
P Mustard (19)
SG Borthwick (16)
ME Claydon (25)
CD Thorp (36)
G Onions (9)
MJ Richardson (18)

That would be the starting XI for me but there's no chance Muchall will be dropped. I also don't think Richardson will be doing anything but carrying the drinks. Unfortunately.

Interesting to see no Blackwell, I imagine due to his awful fitness. I also don't fully understand why Myburgh isn't available..... Anyone got any idea?

Oh and according to xcweather it's got to rain at some point every day.

I'd guess with Myburgh, he's probably been allowed to return home in London to get a few things sorted. Maybe that or it takes a little time for paper work to be completed?

Still happy to see Richardson involved and hopefully he gets a chance at least in the forthcoming pro 40 games

I spoke to him last sunday and he told me that his family hadnt seen very much of him recently. I guess he'll be taking a few days to go and see them and sort some domestic issues out before he knuckles down to the rest of the season.

Best of luck to the lad at Durham. hopes it works out well for him.

Bit frustrating though, while I can sympathise he misses his family this is professional sport for fuck sake. We need him now, surely Durham could have subsidised his family travelling to Worcester

Our batting looks weak as piss.

1 concern I have is Wil Smith. For the record I've defended him plenty times on here and he's one of our higher scorers, so no problem with his selection. My concern going into this game is that he hasn't had much cricket lately. Suprised he's been 12/13th man in the T20, whilst others have been getting practice in the 2ndXI.

Oh well, that's come back to cost us

26/1

I really hope Richardson gets a good knock so he keeps his place in the team when Colly and Myburgh become available.

The problems which were identified earlier in the thread rear their ugly head again, a weak as piss top 3/4 :-(

A day which has typified our season. Shitty top order, Smith and Muchall fail again. Stokes really hasn't done owt decent this year which is worrying and then RAIN.

Granted we were going canny at 89-1, before slumping to 127-4 and relating to what KGC mentioned - we'll be lucky to reach 200 going off current form.

f***ing BBC

Kevin Stoneman

talk is that 200 would be a good score on this wicket

gutted for richardson
