not sure if seb but among some sensible posters on "the white rose county" forum there are some right knackers( bit like here I suppose)
An example of some anti Durham bollox
If we prepared wickets like those cheating ****s Durham, we would get pelters. It's not so much if we don't win it I mind - it's losing to them. Jumped up little ****s! The Rafiq thing was the last straw - trying to cheat their way into the finals day when other teams had a case. I didn't really mind them winning things to begin with, it is the total dellusions of grandeur they have developed I object to. How that shed of a ground is an Ashes venue I do not know - insult to Australian cricket heritage. 'How was the SCG and Melbourne lads', 'Great' we say, 'looking forward to Chester-Le-Street?'. I would rather Lancashire won the CC, T20 and One Day competition than Durham won anything!
So, come on Sussex - dig deep and do unto their bonfire as our victorious Test team did unto the Oval!
lol, they won the title quite recently tbf
If they had anything like our bowlers they'd be pissing up[DOUBLEPOST=1378394433][/DOUBLEPOST]Mitch staying until end of season now by the sounds of it

Yeah, according to the BBC I think it was in June this year that they won it.
Tomorrow maybe not the total write off we thought
Yes but we never saw Colly for 4 or 5 seasons, it was never an issue because during that time we won 2 championships. As far as iam concerned they should continue with team England and young county players should be fighting to get into the Lions side who should also play during our domestic season. If Sussex had have turned up with a full strength side it would have been a match of higher quality but they would not have been a bigger crowd to watch the match. What should happen is counties who provide players for England and the lions who are not on central contracts should be awarded a far bigger finachial reward than what they currently are.
They won it a month after Surrey's title in May.[DOUBLEPOST=1378400345][/DOUBLEPOST]This might be worthy of a thread of its own, perhaps titled 'England's contempt for County Cricket', but for now I'm bringing it up here -You must be logged on to see external links
Tim Wellock mentions Geoff Cook's point about players missing games for their counties due to pointless England games or due to 'rest time' in the case of Matt Prior. Of course we've benefitted from it, more than been hindered by it, especially here and at Scarborough, but the point still remains and is still worth discussing. His closing comment rang true too, in that I can't ever remember Harmy missing that many games to international commitments over the course of a summer.
Looking forward to the next game, shivs looking comfortable at the crease. Somerset have turned to keys wetter now to find a wicket. Will we still be missing stokes?
So they change the rules to say if 8 wickets are down you can delay lunch, but then when 7 are down you could say only one more is needed so why not do it at 7, and so on.If one more wicket had fallen they'd have played an extra half hour. Crazy.
