Anybody making decisions based on the certainty of the British weather is asking for trouble. This declaration was spot on.
 
Anyone seen a positive forecast for tomorrow?? Everything I look at suggests a washout.

As for the extra half hour - what's the guideline with that regarding wickets down?? Cause if we have them 6 or more down, it'll be 8 overs with a new ball. Colly might have to use his powers of persuasion!
 
BBC weather now suggesting the thick of the rain will be further south

I think play might be possible tomorrow, and this probably influenced the declaration

As I understand it is entirely up to the umpires, but even if the new ball is available it would be contentious if only 6 are down as it took us 41 minutes to get these in the first innings.
 
Jobs as good as done lads, a great performance over the last couple of weeks, ................... it's going to be a good finish to the season
