At the moment we are still only two quick wickets away from being right back in this.
Agreed. Just come back up after the game. Dont know what to make of it all. Clearly the pitch isnt as bad as people thought but tomorrow anything can happen. We've all seen teams collapse and with Trescothick now gone who knows what will happen.

Are we all doing a rain dance or do we think we can win it?

Get two early and its ours I reckon..
We can still win it. No doubt about that. We've all seen teams go from 96 for 2 to say 158 for 7. Owt can happen here.

No. I'm just a big fan of Richardson and think he should have played instead of Smith.

Richardson will get his chance eventually, the management know what they're doing, well most of the time anyway.

You can't drop someone after one game, that would be really unfair. After all, would u drop Benkenstein as well?

No, because Benkenstein's career average is 15 more than Smith's. It's hardly like this is the first bad performance Smith has put in in a long time, he's been shit for 2 years, at least.

Smith has a ton to his name this season, Benks has hardly scored a run. Averages count for little when you get to Benkensteins age, they can only go down, like all great batsmen nearing their 40s, he will now be judged on an innings by innings basis.

Everyone has to accept at some point in their career that the skills are just not there anymore, and every passing game brings that point a little closer.

I hope Benkensteins form improves quickly and he scores the runs Durham will badly need this season, but I also hope Smith can regain the form that he showed when he first came to Durham, he still has time to turn things around and for Durham's sake I hope that's soon.
