Onions - Yes
Strauss - Pass
Finn - Yes

Team selection will be interesting. Richardson was 88 not out last time I checked today, and Jennings hit 201 for the 2nd XI today. Muchall currently averaging 10.44 from 10 innings....... surely can't keep his place?

Richardson may be playing on Friday, Mustard has a knee injury that might not clear up in time.

Cant see anything but another defeat. We're down and everyone knows it.

Doubt we'll miss him for his batting contributions.

Some errr 'indifferent' news.....

Harmison could return

(From the Necho)

IF Steve Harmison is to feature at all for Durham in their attempt to avoid relegation he will have to play against Australia A in a three-day match starting next Wednesday.

The former England paceman has not had the chance of the sustained action he needs during his loan to Yorkshire because there has been so little play in his two games at Southampton and Chesterfield.

He could play again at Leicester, starting on Friday, but if Durham have any thoughts of including him in their plans they will recall him next week.

The senior batsmen need all the practice they can get ahead of the final stages in the relegation battle, but the frontline bowlers will probably need to be rested after the home game against Middlesex, starting on Friday.

There is only a one-day break before the Australia A game, then Durham have a Tuesday start at home to Surrey the following week.

If Harmison and Liam Plunkett play against the tourists they will not be the only bowlers searching for form as the visitors are likely to include Mitchell Johnson.

Squad for Tomorrow -

PD Collingwood (5) Captain
DM Benkenstein (44)
SG Borthwick (16)
ME Claydon (25)
GJ Muchall (24)
G Onions (9)
MJ Richardson (18) Wicket keeper
C Rushworth (22)
WR Smith (2)
BA Stokes (38)
MD Stoneman (26)
CD Thorp (36)

Richo in for the injured Mustard. Muchall still there and no Myburgh.

fuck sake what was the point in signing Myburgh
Muchall still in the squad

Jennings I read is signed up to play in 1st class cricket, hit 201 yesterday and isn't involved.

I don't know what to believe about team selection, who picks it or who doesn't - all I know is there are people picked who don't deserve to be in the team and there are people left out who should be in the team. All of that is in my own opinion of course, but seemingly 90% of people I speak to also think the same.

I'm going to the members Q&A after the game tomorrow, I'll report back what is said as I'm certain this matter will be raised.

Don't see the point in signing Myburgh, seems pointless.

Quote by Cook on Ceefax this evening
"I suppose pressure becomes inevitable but one doesn't consider oneself with that problem. My next problem is for the team to get some runs and wickets,so that sort of analysis can wait until the summer".

Eh?
IS it any wonder we're in a such a state with this bloke in charge? or should that be NOT in charge!

In the link Vincey posted on the Blackwell thread Geoff says Muchalls had success in Pro40s and will get another chance against Middlesex so any hope that Claydon might play as an all rounder is gone.

My money is well and truely on Middlesex. Hope Durham win, and maybe strange to say 'if Much gets a golden duck I wont be gutted'

Lost the toss and were batting first
