Sadly I think that lead is already to much for Durhams fragile batting at the moment, seems the management could not give a toss about the county championship these days. The money from the big sponsorship with Emerites seems to be aimed at getting lucky with the 20/20.

That doesn't excuse or explain the shocking performances this season.

I assume we'll be investigated with 18 wickets on the first day?

rain all day tomorrow. friday will be very interesting day. hopefully we can get the 2 wickets very quickly as a lead of 38 is quite high bearing in mind our batting.

will be down Friday, just hope we can win

I don't think so, seaming ball and movement through the air put paid to most batsmen, nothing to do with the pitch according to most comments I've heard.

Stoneman, Smith and Muchall aren't good enough. It might not be a bad thing if we do go down, so long as we try to rebuild with the talent we have coming through. Lads like Michael Richardson are scoring hundreds for fun in the seconds and must wonder what the fuck they have to do to get a game! Although that isn't a new thing, Karl Turner scored the most runs or the seconds 2 seasons in a row and still didn't get a chance.

Pitch Inspector was there before play started .Said there wasx nothing wrong with the pitch . Poor batting and good use of atmospheric conditions by bowlers.

Jennings got 66 for the 2nd XI yesterday in a T20 win vs England Under 19s. Raine got 27 and 3 wickets

And still isnt at Notts after not looking good enough on his few chances there.

every season at durham there are about 5 player contracts up for renewal. I would imagine that the vast majority wont be renewed over the next 2 years and come 2014/2015 we'll see a totally revamped team.

We might have to go down first like.
