Stokes is ill, some sort of bug.

What is baffling is that Rushy has been named as Onions sub, yet Thorpe is playing with a knee injury.
 
That is baffling. Makes sense if Stokes is ill. Hopefully he'll not have to bat until tomorrow so he can sleep on it.
 
Stokes having a shocking season with the bat.

For the second time today we lose two wickets in quick succession. When you look at the long partnerships between Jennings/Mustard and Jennings/Smith we really should have a decent score on the board. As it is, we're looking about 100 short. 330-6 would probably be nearer to par IMO.

Same story all season, not enough stepping up to the plate with the bat.

That Footit made to look like a worldbeater when I watched club cricketers hit him for 20 an over last week in that Giggle & Run format.
 
Last 6 wickets made 31. That's f***ing shite. In fact, I'd have been disappointed if the last 6 wickets made 131.

Baffled as to why Stokes is batting 7 behind Borthwick, Smith, Mustard and Richardson, awful batting line-up, I know he's not been in the best of form but shifting our best batsman down to 7 is ridiculous.

Still fancy us to win if we keep Chanderpaul quiet.

On a side note, Somerset are having an awful season aren't they, bowled out for 244 by Sussex who are 174/2 off 33 overs!, Michael Yardy has 90 off 70-odd balls, and he's barely known for his extravagant strokeplay.

I'm not criticising the season. I'm criticising the days performance. The facts are - we were rolled for just over 250 by the basement side. We lost 5 wickets for 19 runs. We threw a great start away, from 222-4 we should have made no less than 300. With real ideas of over 350.

Or should I pretend all went swimmingly today?
 
I was down for 90 minutes or so late on. Durham chucked the last few wickets away on what looked like a great batting track. However there always seems to be some sort of demons in the Durham pitch so who knows what will happen from here on in.
