class act
I see Shah top scored for the opposition with 55
Two players who havent fulfilled their potential doing well in Australia
I too like both players you mention. Both can hit six's at ease something we lack in the current outfit.
I reckon both can still have a future with England especially in the shorter formats.
Absolute shite sorry
Comes off with the bat once in thirty innings. Slogger
Right arm filth
Canny fielder
Very harsh.![]()
Averages 22 with the bat and 15 wickets at 57 in 46 ODI's
Averages 15 in T20 and has 6 wickets at 36.50 in 30 games
Watched a replay of that this afternoon - don't know much about him tbh, but he hit the ball very cleanly.117 off 60 balls in the Big Bash League. 8 4's and 9 6's.
This should ensure he's selected for any forthcoming England IT20 matches.
Agreed. Like most English players in the ODI environment he's a terrible player of spin bowling. His two options are either block or slog, not the worst option for a T20 player but he shouldn't be anywhere near the ODI squad.Think his best position is lower down the order as a finisher, but I think he's a bit of a flat track bully, any swing or spin and he's knackered.
Can slog length balls miles and for the majority of matches hes a decent selection. Problem with Wright though its not just when its seaming around he is completely useless against a short quick delivery which he plays with no control.
Hes less likely to succeed against quality attacks than most.
Shah is a class act but not always the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Not a good enough bowler or batsman to play international cricket, and we've been shite at one day stuff for years because we've had too many bits and pieces cricketers in the team
We have been shite at one day cricket because of our inability to stick with a nucleaus of players and constantly chop and change and try and copy other nations rather than playing to our own strengths
The likes of Cameron White, Steve Smith, David Hussey are all bits and pieces cricketers to a large degree and Australia have been ranked one for a number of years so hasnt done them any harm
