Luke O'Nien

Okay?

But you must be able to see that keeping our goalscorer and MOTM from the previous game in the same position was a logical and very uncontroversial decision, no?

We are talking about 1 game here out of 37.
Theres other games when he's come on rather than Geertruida and I didn't agree with that either.

We obviously don't agree.

Not so much so it’s not evenly balanced too many people won’t back track on their opinion that he wouldn’t make it in the prem
As I've said in this thread that's a bit true. Like our manager I wouldn't be starting him regularly at this level
Cant wait until he comes up with the winner on Sunday to take us to Europe

He is due a goal

Its written in the stars

09 takes the black cats to Europe
Him or Xhaka would be perfect

Is Alderette definitely out like ? I've known those pinching side strains clear up after ice ,a couple of massage sessions and electro muscle stimulation. Not always but they can and he didnt get straight down the tunnel .

Thankfully RLB knows some players need time and space to grow. Many fans berate at the first mistake. Giving him the time, and the dividends are clear. Mr Sunderland keeps proving everyone wrong.

For context, Bournemouth outplayed City last night with Adam Smith at right back and James Hill at centre back. Neither of them are household names or cost a lot of money. Brighton have had the likes of Dunk, Webster and March in their team in recent years.

"Premier League" quality means being able to fulfil your role in the team. You don't need to be a superstar, just a competent footballer. When O'Nien makes a mistake, people jump on in a way that they don't with other players. He didn't play well against Villa but he has performed perfectly adequately in his other appearances. He is a squad player and happy to accept that role while helping to set mentality in training and games.
Absolutely agree. Too many people seem to think praise for O’Nien is criticism for Ballard.
