Luke O'Nien

If O'Nien starts getting games then you know things have gone to deep shit. Hes not at the level and shouldn't be on the field tbh.

Give him a farewell appearance last day of the season.

This is what should happen. Keep him around till the end of the season. He could be a useful player to have if we have a little cup run and get a few injuries etc... but more to the point, he is everything this club should be proud of and aspire to be in terms of dedication and constant, never ending improvement.

I'd love to see him stick it out, and when we are mathematically safe on the last day, as long as there's nothing riding on it, give him the 90minutes in a farewell appearance.

Then he will want to play football rather than being a cheerleader

He's about 6th choice all I'm saying is if he's the bloke we know he is he will want to be playing
I get that like just imagine the experience he would bring to a championship club

We don't know what his motives are. Maybe moving away from his young family is too important to him

Maybe spending all week on the training ground with Xhaka and Le Bris is more appealing to him long term than going out on loan

Maybe he has other responsibilities away from playing

Maybe he is just happy

Id imagine that depends on if were prepared to help him get his coaching badges/media appearances/help him with his charity

Or whatever he thinks his next step is

If he's happy not playing football he's not the character we think

Yeah he won’t be here past this season

They have made an effort to keep links between old and new and it’s worked

But LON will want to play footy he’s still really young

He’s 31 mate

He’s probably got at least 5 or 6 playing years left

I dunno why people are going on likes he’s gonna retire and coach

Was one of best defenders in the championship last year man
He'd probably be the best centre back in the championship as well. Can't believe a team looking to get promotion over the line wouldn't go for him. He'd be invaluable.

I mean. Boro would be absolutely perfect for him. Think they're light at the back due to injuries as well.

Absolutely just think we will hold onto him till end of season.
