Luke O'Nien

Someone from Southampton maybe from their rise to premier, lallana for example would be a guess.
Or vardy
They never made it to League two and Vardy never played in League one or two.

Steve Finnan played in all 4 division iirc, no idea if he got a red card though.

Listening to Talksport earlier and Perry Groves and another bloke were ripping him saying it was an intentional leg breaker (They sort of backtracked on the intentional word) but both said it should be a 5 game ban and they think a game or 2 will be added on top of the 3 game ban

I heard that, I thought it was just a badly timed challenge, probably tried to win a ball he couldn’t because of it being under hit.

Slow motion makes those sort of challenges look intentional when these days I can't think of a challenge like that where it obvious the player was just trying to injure the opponent. They also always get described as potential leg breakers when broken legs are incredibly rare.

It was so daft, reckless and late.
No way though was it intentional.

09 was a mainstay last season
His name was down before Ballard.
He has adapted and been a great player at every stage. He was easily one of our best players last season consistently.

Now that some people have seen him for what, nine minutes in the prem league , after months out injured and having played no competitive football for months, some folk like you come to the ridiculous conclusion, imo, that he's not good enough for this level.
The lack of faith in le bris by people like you who sees 09 in training and obviously has faith in him at this level means fuck all to you.

Its just lazy as fuck.
I trust le bris and what he sees more than you mate. So your opinion after 9 minutes of watching 09 , not match fit , playing at this level for the first time is turgid.
Imo of course

Id think most reasonable people would trust that le bris sees he can play at this level - it's why he's picked

Id think most reasonable people would wait and see him play a bit more at this level before coming to your conclusion that he's not good enough to get anywhere near this team.

He will deffo get more minutes at this level. Definitely.
This is a good take imho. No-one on the coaching staff will be making a judgment of his PL readiness based on this (at least I hope not).

I’ve observed two things about our setup over the last 1-2 years that are relevant to this debate…..

1. Growth mindset - Regis sees failure as an opportunity to learn, and values that in others.

2. Luke has a growth mindset

Everything else is noise.
