Luke O'Nein - The 5 Year Plan

Great summation mate, he keeps proving the doubters wrong again and again.
Drops some clangers but always makes up for it. The doubters focus on the clangers and not how he makes up for things. He's not ever going to be the most fluent and smooth player, he was never meant to be that. What he is is someone who plays for the club and loves the club. You can't just "buy" that. We've been absolutely blessed to have him.

Match thread that day

Mad looking at posts saying it's a good team when you look at it compared to now

The second post is a beaut like and even seen someone saying Aiden O'Brien is better than Stewart!
2 that stood out to me is somebody worried Denver Hume wasn’t in the starting 11, he was and another hoping Wright would be fit for the next game to replace O’Nein.

He is a good premier League player
Doesn't look out of sorts at all.
I Do understand those that thought he couldn't make that step up, but he's shown what a quality squad player he is.
He will play 5+ games next season too (imo)
Fancy him to get a run in Europe if we nick the conference league spot

Just imagine if we make Europe and he's still around next season.

If somebody back then told you in 6 years time O'Nien was playing in European competition, your head would explode!

If we do ill be saying he cant make that step up. Hes proven me wrong every other time why break the habit?

Bailey Wright was good for us in league 1. Very important player

I agree with this but the Pen that was ruled out today he’s sliding in when he doesn’t have to. Love the lad. Hope he stays and becomes a coach. Do I want him in the starting 11 hmmm not really.
But the pen was gave for a foul by alderate not Luke so how does he get the criticism here?

Because he’s sliding in like a loon.
But he didn’t do anything wrong at all. This is what the earlier poster means it’s all would have and could have. I mean the pen was correctly not gave in the end but it was Alderate that “gave” it away yet somehow Luke’s the problem

5 years ago - Luke plays 90 mins as we lose to Wigan and drop out of League one automatic promotion contention.

Today - Luke plays 90 mins as we move a point away from europe in the premier league
Hume & Luke in starting line up against Crusty the Pie
