Look North

Seething indeed 😁
Just don't think it was a penalty - not that it matters.
Agree that we were well beaten like, no complaints about the result.
Suppose though, that's what happens when you lot view us as your cup final.
If we took it as seriously then maybe the outcome would have been different

I’d be livid if our players took that view mind given all the money you put into the club attendance wise

They should be busting a gut whoever they play

I thought ours was a penna watching it from the north stand and still do after watching telly . Their defender never looked like getting to the ball ,two contacts on route then Stewart went down . Without the contact Stewart is in on goal .
What's Fry doing stepping across him when he's the wrong side of him and about 2 yards away from the ball. Blatantly does it to impede him. Really average defending. Even if he knows he's lost the race he should be running to guard the line. Fry makes the refs mind up for him. Really poor compounding his original mistake of not being tight enough.

Draft a letter and we’ll all send it!

Yes I sent them this

Dear Look North

I am writing in to complain about the “performance” of your so called “presenter” Dawn on the Look North show this evening (23.1.23)

I was literally astounded at her comments regarding Sunderland AFC’s fully merited victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday.

She could barely control her anger at the result, in fact I could see her top lip quiver, as if she was about to growl, so much was her displeasure.

She childishly referenced a (correctly awarded) penalty and red card decision, stating this was the turning point. She failed to acknowledge the total dominance Sunderland had exerted up to that point.

She then continued bumping her gums, intimating that the result was somehow down to the referee, and, it was clear to me this “lady” has a deep-seated animosity towards Sunderland AFC.

Her disappointment and anger at Sunderland’s victory was magnified by her beloved Newcastle’s failure to win (or even score) against Crystal Palace.

I would suggest moving “Dawn” to other duties, perhaps the weather report, or put her on the wireless for a bit, until she can be trusted to carry out her role impartially.

Also, she may benefit from some form of training in Unconscious Bias, however her bias appeared to be very conscious to me.

Regards

Joe

If you watch, Fry was trying to pull him back but his final motion was a shove into his side that sent him down, which happened when Stewart's foot was on the line of the penalty box. It was a clear foul and you can see why the penalty was awarded.
Stonewaller, those saying not haven't seen the final push.

Haven't seen it for ages. Do they still give us the same token coverage as Hartlepool, Carlisle and Harrogate or are we back on an equal footing as the Mags and Boro?

Maybe, just maybe, they're actually correct.
Certainly didn't look a penalty to me
Did it look like a red, though?

Our cup final? We seriously don't give a flying f*ck about Boro whereas we're absolutely all you have.
I had more fun when I snuck in the morgue
Is that you, Jimmy?

Clear pen, I'm not one for giving a red and a pen like tbh. We'd have won that game had they had eleven anyway, we should've been a few goals up in the first half alone. All north east media is biased always has been it's why I get annoyed when those on our side don't stick up for the city or fight our corner more f***ing Marco for one.

Sunderland V Middlesbrough head to head we have won 62 drawn 38 and lost 51. We have won 6 League championships, 2 FA cups and been runners up twice in FA and League cup. Middlesbrough 0 League championships, 0 FA cup, 1 League cup, runners up FA cup once. Sunderland record attendance 75,118. Midlesbrough record attendance 53,596. Sunderland record average attendance 47, 785, Middlesbrough record average attendance 36,123. Sunderland all time average attendance 25,893. Middlesbrough all time average attendance 19,802. Seasons in top flight Sunderland 86, Middlesbrough 61. In every single parameter SAFC is by far the bigger and more succesful club. And they KNOW it. That is why playing Sunderland is a big deal for them and just another game for us. End of.
Can't fault that logic, further evidence of who is the bigger club
