She doesn't even pretend not to be impartial or professional enough to put aside her allegiance. Quite the opposite infact, she positively revels in reminding everyone of her love of all things Newcastle/NUFC. And she is now editor as well as sports presenter iirc.

I really hope we just continue going along, doing our thing, without too much fanfare until the results/league position/cup run become too much to ignore or deingrate.

If (when?) we finish above the mags in the league it will be interesting how they try and spin it. IF (when?) we were to qualify for a European place they'd not know what to say. Imagine if we qualified but they don't!!

I dont mind Shearers bias as much as hes been a Newcastle player and Newcastle fan and clearly doesnt like Sunderland. Id rather that than him pretend.

Whereas Dawn Thewlis is just a f***ing arsehole along with the rest of the local media that seems to think everything revolves around Tyneside.

The best comparison I can think of is Malcolm Macdonald. Both had hero status with their respective clubs in a similar era. MM was bought in and GR was homegrown but they both meant an awful lot to supporters. I suspect that when MM unfortunately passes away, he will get the coverage his reputation deserves whereas I don't think GR did.
