Sunderland fans respect and clap their 11th minute thing - the Mags respond by thousands chanting their paedo stuff.
More generally, they regard Sunderland fans as a subclass and generally despise the people and the place, they never shut up about it. Their players can't even turn up to watch some special needs kid do a gig without for some reason trying to mock Sunderland fans, despite never playing against us.
No wonder their simpletons think it's alright to urinate on a Sunderland memorial, they're whole fan base are obsessed and it's ingrained in them from a young age to hate and despise Sunderland fans. It's a culture of relentless envy/hate.

But it would be pathetic to say people who support Sunderland can’t shop or drink in Newcastle. The disparity is HUGE between economical funding of the two cities and it shows sadly, and anyone should be allowed to shop and spend money where they wish, including in Newcastle city centre.

Just to add though as there’s a lot of- what do you expect he’s a mag. My husbands family are all mags. I know lots and lots I have previously worked with or still do. From all ages- teenager to elderly. They’re and odd bunch with football egos like none I’ve ever known.

I can categorically say not a single one I know would piss on someone’s memorial. Not a single one. Or condone the action

Exactly…you cant blame people from the city doing their shopping etc in Newcastle……its easier to get there than it is to the Metrocentre and / or Durham aswell ( by public transport )

I work down in Boro so do my shopping in Boro/Teesside Park/Portrack Lane. I was in Sunderland City Centre about 2 month ago for the Empire Theatre, really impressed but as a retail offering I can't remember the last time I was in Sunderland city centre for that purpose. It's like Durham, just a total lack of care, investment and marketing.

Plenty of potential in Sunderland if done properly which hasn't been the case for decades and the train station is the prime example, beyond embarrassing.

Thats not being disputed…..but they do have a minority who seemingly go out of their way to belittle anything connected with the club or the city of sunderland in general. We imo dont have that element

I was asking for quotes for a patio, one of the recommendations was a company from Newcastle, they may be very good, but I just thought no, fuck them. Thats the effect of money being poured into that city, to the detriment of ours and their utter disdain for us, fuck them the deluded bastards (The lad who does the patios may be fine, but just fuck it)

Look at the sad wankers who log on here pretending to be Sunderland fans.

They’ve looked down on Sunderland folk for years, we paid for their city centre, we paid for their airport whilst Sunderland has rotted. It’s in engrained into them to hate everything to do with Sunderland. The airport thing, the irony is most of the fans saying Sunderland doesn’t have an airport will be the ones from Shields or south Tyneside or god forbid Durham.

Everyone is an adopted geordie if they do well..

I'm a Geordie and I'm ashamed by the way mags go on. Not all are like that but get them in a group of 2+ and even the most sensible mag can turn into bell end.

That’s kind of my point.

I don’t know enough about the cities but I would guess Newcastle has national chain restaurants and shops, some of who’s staff might be from other countries or towns with no interest in NUFC and might even be from Sunderland. If you want to visit those restaurants and shops it seems a bit silly to deprive yourself and boycott because of a football rivalry.
