coal by a mile. gets way hotter, lasts longer.
Wood can be free mind you. And a log store looks ace. A coal bunker on the other hand looks shit.
Supertherm is bollocks
who's chopping the wood like?
The cross cut saw at my place makes light work of cutting 9"x2" oak boards like. And it's free.
Me. Like A Boss
I have a log splitter and everything.
I also have an electric chainsaw, but we tend to use Mrs K's Dad's petrol one for bigger stuff
sounds like a sack of coal is less work.
Needs the wood to get going, and wood's free.
And less messy
Wilfy knows the score.
GD Logs is next to the Shiney Row roundabout . All wood is properly seasoned and their stock is tested by the council to ensure it meets the relative standards.
Southern prices! Ouch.
How is wood free? Unless you have a forest on your estate, you're probably gonna be hard pushed. Or do you go round public parks hacking down trees?
I work for a joinery company.
Nice. Plenty off cuts and stuff?
Make sure you use the vents properly , open the fuel will burn fast - once it’s established close vents for a slower burn
Not so much off cuts as full boards chopped up just for me fire.
That sounds like a lot of somebody's money your putting on your fire lad.
Oaks not cheap.
It’s not expensive. The wenge I’ve been chucking on is a different matter like.
I burn gas in my fire. I can barely be arsed to stand up to flick the switch to light it never mind fucking on sparking logs up and shit.
As it happens I live near a wood, but you can always get it free if you know who to ask. There's a lot of tree surgeons who will drop a tree and leave the logs.
Or just go to a forest with an axe, and a truck...
Just put it through a saw. Sorted
So company stock? Thats stealing
