Its happening, few mates work there. Not enough work apparently but been badly managed for a while. Blow for Sunderland, another Eng facility shut, maybe for good. Hopefully not.

Bumped into a friend of ours earlier , her husband works there. Don’t think it’s closing down but they are def laying some staff off , unsure to what extent

They’ve had massive investment at the Rostock facility and are doing well there on heavy lift cranes for offshore installation vessels.

Maybe a change in strategy. Without sounding like them who want Doxies reopening, not dredging the river will harm Liebherr ability to make bigger cranes.

Aye. I can confirm there’s been a fire.

Wow didn't know this..I've got mates who work there..if anyone knows someone who might be losing their job I've heard today that Caterpillar at Peterlee are recruiting..weren't supposed to be but the build is going up.

Aye..i was talking to a lad yesterday who's a team leader there..he says they've increased the build and are now recruiting..only one way to find out..contact the agency.
